Probably could have an option for "Sloppy Paper Work".

Could have been "slick" paperwork. Maybe the money got paid but the item wasn't received and the proceeds divided up?

How can you not see a front-end loader slowly leaving the city?

Inside job if you ask me!!!!! I know some officers view these blogs but wondering if they are afraid to do anything about getting the person involved. They sure act like it

That front end loader left the county's hands LONG before anyone noticed it was gone, I guarantee

I should have said "i bet" instead of "I guarantee"

I need more information to form an openion on this matter. Was the loader ordered.. yes or we would not have a serial number on the item. Was it paid for and delivered? Do we have a reciept of payment or a recieved by confirmation? Were other parts ordered for this item prior to 2004? Are the maintainance records for this item prior to 2004? Still to many questions.

Someone mentioned yesterday seeing one somewhere up close to Church Hill slowly disappearing into the Kudzu. That would be my bet - left somewhere and forgotten.

Wasn't there a bill of sale? What about a title and registration?
Those don't just disappear (unlike a mobile frontend loader).

No tags on a front end loader! LOL But surely the insurance would list everything.

I'm not ever sure if they would be insured. The fed and state govt is self-insured, maybe the county is too.

I would think from that tag price you would be driving a front end loader! LOL Tag prices are crazy!

Someone had to be paying liability insurance and some sort of damage insurance.
Reminds me of that old movie with Jimmy Durante. Jimmy is standing there with a huge elephant behind him. SOmeone says He you! Where you going with that elephant? Jimmy says, Elephant? What Elephant?
Looks like someone made off with an elephant...

As I have stated before, this situation is purely POOR MANAGEMENT of the part of the Adams County Government, sounds like it would happened with the current City Administration also!

Since the front-end loader belonged to the county, wonder which of the supervisors used it first? Where was it delivered and who signed the bill of lading? The thing is only four years old, hardly rusted. How can you lose or hide something that big? Go back to the supervisors....surely they know more than they are telling.
