It should have been more of a deduction.

The BOA made the right decision to cut their pay. However, the BOA did not cut deep enough. After all, they are the ones who have not exercised fiscal responsibility.

At least a $1.000.000 should be cut from the city's budget. After all, the city is off setting expenses with revenues in their budget numbers. Where are the revenues for water, sewage, garbage collection, recreation, convention center, etc?

The city budget should be zero, Revenues offset Expenses.

At 3%, 6 votes, the aldermen must have voted?????

I agree, more should have been cut. When they prove to the people who voted them into office that they can manage money, maybe they can raise it back up. They have literally bankrupted this city.

How can you manage money when you have none? Nathcez's revenue is dwindling, and this is not a result of any actions the board as taken. This comes from the city relying on tourism dollars and not meeting the needs of the residents.

Devise a revenue shareing pay system. After all the taxpayers needs are met you get what is left, like buzzards on a piece of road kill. Nothing really matters after you jump out of an airplane without a chute. It sounds good to say you take a pay cut but you are still being paid with borrowed dollars.
