Time to issue IOU's for paychecks. Until line items in the budget are gone through and eradicated how dare a loan of 1/2 a million dollars be even considered. Where is the fiscal responsibility with these people?

take off about $16,000 from each of the alderman and that would help some. Then start your focus with positions in city hall, followed by water works, and transportation. Leave the NPD and NFD alone though, at least for the moment. We are already having enough issues with thugs and thieves.

I live in the north Natchez area. I noticed last week that the mosquito truck was down the street from me and I was thrilled. I sprayed myself with off and sat on my front steps waiting for it to pass my way. Well, all he did was visit with some of his bros. in two blocks and never cranked up the fogger. He did the same up and down Oak St. That's city funds paying for the use of the truck, the gas, and his time visiting. Fire him and get someone that can visit on his/her own time. Get the job done and save some money.

This is no way to run a city, a business or a household. Hurricane season is here, crime is up and most donations to charities are down. There is no safety net. How is it the mayor was an alderman all those years and seems clueless to the finances of Natchez?
