Ross Cooper, Natchez

1942 - 2008

NATCHEZ - Services for Ross Cooper, 66, of Waterproof, La., will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Steve Bullion officiating.
Burial will follow at Legion Memorial Cemetery, in Newellton, La., with a graveside service at 4:30 p.m. under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Cooper was born on March 10, 1942, in Houlka, the son of John Enoch and Myrtice Eatman Cooper. He retired from Pyron Furniture Store after several years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ineada Cooper; two brothers, John Cooper and Jerry Cooper; and one granddaughter, Victoria Rymer.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Cooper; one son, Doug Dooley and wife, Lauredia, both of Cross Plains, Tenn.; one daughter, Teresa Godbold and husband, Craig, both of Natchez; three stepchildren, Lane McCarty and wife, Suzette, both of Woodville, Ray Book of Pahokee, Fla., and Jackie Owen and husband, Dustin, both of Natchez; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson; three sisters, Beulah Dallalio and husband, Joe, Sr., both of Vidalia, Patricia Hale of St. Joseph, La., and Francis Sutterfield and husband, Sonny, both of Winnsboro, La.; a special pet, Chi Cooper; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joe Dallalio, Keith Dallalio, Roger Cribb, Cliff Woods, Robert Dawson and Dustin Owen.
Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Pyron, Gene Brackenridge, Jimmy Jones, Lane McCarty and Willie Battle.

daddy i miss you so much!! i have no regrets because you know exactly how much i love you,my gosh i miss you greatly!!! this is the greatest man i have ever known.
he was so proud of my children, cristin, myra and jamie, words can not describe. thanks to everyone for their prayers, love and kindness.
