Murder suspect wanted

Man possibly connected to three murders believed to be in area

Published Monday, November 19, 2007

NATCHEZ — A man reportedly wanted for three murders — including one in Natchez — is suspected to be in the area.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Marshals have issued an arrest warrant for Tyrone Lacaze in connection with the Oct. 22 shooting death of Ronald Jones.

Jones was shot more than 30 times outside Village Square Apartments.

Maj. Jody Waldrop said Lacaze has been spotted in the Martin Luther King Jr. Road area in recent days and is believed to be staying in the Ferriday area.

“He should be considered armed and dangerous,” Waldrop said.

Waldrop said authorities investigating the murder of Jones — also known as Bo Diddley — began looking for a late model Ford Taurus believed to be the car used in the murder.

Authorities located that vehicle in Ferriday and its driver Antwine King, 18.

King has been arrested and charged as an accessory after the fact.

She was arraigned on Friday and is being held on a $200,000 bond.

Lacaze is wanted for murders outside of Adams County also.

He is from New Orleans and was displaced to Houston after Katrina, and is currently wanted in Houston for two murders.

Waldrop said Houston authorities allege Lacaze killed one man in Houston and killed a witness to that murder. The witness was a 16-year-old girl.

Waldrop said authorities believe that Lacaze is staying in Ferriday with relatives of his associates.

Waldrop described Lacaze as a 21-year-old black male, standing 5’10” weighing 140 pounds.

Lacaze was also last know to wear his hair in dreadlocks and has gold teeth in the front of his mouth.

Most notably Lacaze has several facial tattoos.

Under each of his eyes Lacaze has a teardrop tattoo and either a skull or a bulls eye also tattooed on his face. Waldrop also said Lacaze has one tattoo between his eyes.

With criminal records in both Houston and New Orleans, Waldrop said, Lacaze needs to be taken off the streets. Anyone with information on Lacaze’s whereabouts should call the sheriff’s office or Crime Stoppers at 601-442-5000.

Now let's see if the Ferriday police can catch this fellow. My guess is he has high tailed it out of here.

With that many tatoos on his face, he ought to be easy to spot. Let's hope so.

THREE people including a 16 year old girl? I wonder if this idiot was ever locked up and someone let him out? I wonder did someone somewhere make a "mistake" that allowed this guy to walk the streets. Lord knows that you can fill up a cemetery with "mistakes" that were made in the Natchez, Adams county area. This is incredible! Hopefully the local law enforcement element can catch this criminal. If caught they need to send him back to Texas, they don't coddle killers there, if he's got a capital or first degree murder charge Texas will put this bozo to "sleep" quick. A person who kills people, especially a child, dosen't deserve to breathe the same air that we God fearing folks do. He should be shot down like the rabid dog that he is.

I, for one, was thankful to be alerted that there was a monster on the loose in Natchez. Maybe he'll get on the run and run clear out of town. Thanks Adam.

me too destiny. If he has family here or in Ferriday, he will be around for Thanksgiving. The police know where and when to catch him.

"He is from New Orleans and was displaced to Houston after Katrina, and is currently wanted in Houston for two murders."

Not to blame the height in crime on the Katrina evacuees, but the crimes have become more brazen and more heinous in nature. I remember a report that was done maybe 6 months after Katrina, that stated the jails were just let open and other places that housed inmates, and they simply walked out. There was hardly any coordinated effort, to move these people appropriately, from one jail to another in another town or state. People need to remember, child molesters and sexual offenders were a part of that bunch as well as armed robbers and murderers.

wow supertrucker....I suppose it would be best for the Democrat NOT to tell us huh? And so WHAT IF this ran him off?? Gone is gone.

Posted by JunkyardDawg (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 7:15 a.m. (Suggest removal)

newsflash punisher...according to the article, this bozo killed two people in Texas prior to coming here and killing one in Natchez...Texas couldn't catch the bozo...so why you dissing on Natchez cops? If he had previously been in trouble and got off, it would have been in LA or TX, and they would have been the ones that released him, not MS.

Trucker, I'm glad they put out his discription, so if he comes knocking on your door, maybe you'll recognize the tatoos and not let him in.

Posted by sayitloud (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 7:27 a.m. (Suggest removal)

yeah well I wouldn't be shocked if he turned out to BE SUPERTRUCKER

Posted by noneya (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 7:35 a.m. (Suggest removal)

Let me see if I understand this correctly....ND is a DOG because it reported a killer is on the loose in our area, but then RM is a DOG because it WASN'T reported in the ND because an inmate was reported loose!!! Which way do you want it?! You certainly shouldn't want both. Go Figure.

Posted by kpage (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 7:45 a.m. (Suggest removal)

Good morning friends...I woke up to supertrucker screaming out of both sides of his mouth about how bad the ND is. I think he's an angry person and the ND forum is the only way he can spew it out. Gotta kind of feel bad for him. Wonder if he's on medicine?

Thanks Demo, for printing this story and warning us that a murderer is on the loose. This is a little scary...thank goodness my home has protection.

I have a problem seeing Lacaze sipping coffee and reading the morning paper in his housecoat and slippers saying to himself gees, my cover is blown I better get outta here.

Get him Uncle Randy!!! Put your dress whites on and go arrest this guy yourself. Not in the suburban, take the cruiser with the walkie talkie. And check on the burglary at Dunbvarton that occurred over a month ago and all that damage and those fires in Monterey, and....

nevermind, just go build a prison.

Posted by kpage (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 8:02 a.m. (Suggest removal)

Is he really your uncle, or did I miss some good sarcasm, blksheep? HaHaHa!!!!! I doubt Lacaze has house slippers. He keeps the soles worn off 'em by all the running he does.

Trucker, get a life.
Someone should contact America's Most Wanted. www.amw.com
Let's get John Walsh's help to catch this thug. Post his mug shot nationally, so we all recognize him.
Justice may not come as quick as some would like in Texas, but it will be served.

To Junkyard Dawg:

If you read my comment closely you will see that I wasn't "dissing" the Natchez Police, I will explain my comment for the benefit of those who don't get it.

Any cop will tell you that it's the same people commiting crimes, and you know why? Because the cops catch them and the judge lets them go. Or the D.A. pleads the case(Felony)down to a misdemeanor and Mr. Bad Guy walks out of jail or court with a fine.

The cops don't accept plea bargains.

The cops don't dismiss cases.

The cops don't retire cases to the files.

The cops don't sentence murderers to 3 years in jail.

When this guy is caught I'll bet that he has an EXTENSIVE criminal record and that someone in New Orleans or Texas dropped the ball. If you read the New Orleans Times Picayune online you will quickly see that the D.A.'s office down there is a complete JOKE!

As far as my "cemetery" comment is concerned, I can think of a few people that would be ALIVE today if the judges and the D.A.'s office in NATCHEZ had done their job. This is a FACT!

So feel free to show me where I disrespected the Natchez Police or the Adams County Sheriff's Office, these guys do their jobs only to be SOLD OUT by the judges and the D.A.'s.

It sounds like he will fit in just fine in Ferriday. Ever wonder how someone like this ends up in our small town, well it's kinda like the same way it is with the inmates all over the state wanting to be transferred to Hwy 15, they are treated like they are at a 5 star hotel, happy inmates=more inmates, more inmates=more money in the prison owners pocket, I thought people were suppose to not want to go to jail, big screen tv's and pool tables now let's get real, anyway, our once proud town has become a beacon for scum like this, a safe haven if you will. You don't have to be in jail for word to spread of a good place to hide out, a place where like minded people are running the show. People,,,, as long as we have someone that makes John Gotti look like a choir boy running the business of our town and instead of having someone we can count on to run drugs out of our parish we have someone that has learned how to capitolize on the destruction left in the wake and won't do anything about it now because he himself is in too deep, conditions around here will continue to deteriorate at a much faster than normal rate. The definition of insanity is to repeat the same action and expect a different outcome

Posted by toosweet23 (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 8:40 a.m. (Suggest removal)

Thank God, they have a suspect, and in time he will be caught. I knew of a murder that happened several years ago and the suspect left town and went to Alaska, but eventually they got him. Maybe this will give Bo Diddley's mother some comfort and she can get some closure. He will make a mistake and he will be caught. God bless Mrs. Mary Jackson in the meantime.

Well if the tattoos are earned the teardrops under his eyes stand for killing someone in prison. The rest of the tatoos sound like jail house stuff. Maybe the cops will kill I mean catch him. I think the best way to go about it is to put a bounty on him then one of his bros will do the job for us.

Just a quick comment: It is not always the DA that turns the criminals loose! How about a little blame for DEFENSE attorneys. They are the ones who plea bargain and do anything to get their clients off and back on the streets. Sometimes a plea is the only way to get someone else. Not defending the DA or anyone else, but you would think a defense attorney would not want a guilty person back on the street but to get the best prison time for his client (least time possible). Go figure!

Also, Supertrucker - go take a nap!

Posted by The_Punisher (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 9:25 a.m. (Suggest removal)

Well lets see.............................I had a former Narc tell me that he had a doper with multiple sale chages against him. Each charge carried 60 years and this guy was looking at a few hundred years. The defense atty offered that the guy only get charged with one count and the rest get retired to the files. Of the one count that he was charged with the defense atty suggested that the guy not go to prison but go to the RID program. In short the doper went to some sort of boot camp program instead or prison. The defense atty OFFERED this, but the D.A. ACCEPTED this deal. THIS is what I'm talking about.

sayitloud, if astrid changed her name to peacerulz, It would appear to me that she did not want anyone to know that, except the people in her inner circle, that she has alerted (via email) to that fact.

Contacting luv2travel, via email, would have been a more appropriate way to disclose that fact instead of posting it here online for EVERYONE to see. Unless I missed something, I don't believe astrid posted that info herself on any previous posts.

Think about it . . . !

Posted by sayitloud (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 9:35 a.m. (Suggest removal)

Uh yeah well she DID tell that on a different story! I do not know her at all so I am not in her "inner circle" as you call it just know like lots of others that she changed it!!!!

Posted by ijohnson (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 10:01 a.m. (Suggest removal)

luv2travel and sayitloud, since you're so UP on what comments have been posted, you can decipher that. There are comments posted all the time between certain posters asking the other to "check their personal email because they just sent them a message" or "they sent they a personal email to make a comment on something they did not want to publicly post." THAT'S WHAT I CONSIDER TO BE THE "INNER CIRCLE".

A while back, there was discussion about changing usernames. Those advocating that change communicated among themselves via private ND emails advising each other of what their new username would be.

Sometimes we have to THINK before we disclose information someone may consider to be very personal or private. If astrid had no reason to change her name, she would still be using astrid!!!!

Posted by sayitloud (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 10:04 a.m. (Suggest removal)

YOU have no flippin idea why she changed it nor should you! She simply changed it...let someone know on a diff story and someone asked about her I let them know!!! SO SUE ME ALREADY

If this story hits America's Most Wanted this Saturday, I believe he would be caught real soon. Even if he cuts off his dreds, he is probably too arrogant to cover up his facial tattoos.

He obviously has no children or anyone else he cares about or he would also be thankful for the public warning. I sincerely believe that supertrucker just doesn't have anything better to do than stir up stuff. Ever notice he ALWAYS disagrees with what the majority post, no matter what it is about? Let's all ignore him, please! Thank you ND for alerting the public that this murderer may be in our area. We all complained when CPSO didn't alert the media when they had a prisoner escape. I hope they are monitoring cell phone communications and setting up surveillance in New Orleans because he just may decide to high tail it back there for Thanksgiving. Especially, since there is so much killing going on down there he'll just blend right in with the rest of the criminals.

Posted by eagles (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 11:14 a.m. (Suggest removal)

Someone needs to get this guy off the streets. If they KNOW he killed three people already since 2005, there's no telling how many they don't know about. Wouldn't that make him a serial killer? Unfortunately, if he flees to New Orleans, he may never be found. People seem to hide well there.

Posted by sayitloud (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 11:18 a.m. (Suggest removal)

I think you are correct on the serial killer thing eagles.....sounds logical.

Does it seem shocking that he never LEFT the area after shooting Bo Diddley?

Posted by noneya (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 11:22 a.m. (Suggest removal)

And obiviously, eagles, he blends right in in Ferriday also.

Posted by ijohnson (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 11:24 a.m. (Suggest removal)

eagles, believe me, if he makes it to New Orleans, more than likely, he'll never be found. For some reason, the police there don't seem to eagerly pursue murderers. It appears the police just wait for them to kill each other, then close the case.

It's a shame. These murderers spread out among us like a cancer and snuff out lives like it's nothing. No one is safe. Just think about, you can find yourself at the gas station tomorrow, bump into this fool coming out the door or beat him to a gas pump, then get shot to death because killing you means nothing to him.

I hate to see this sort of crime here. The crime on our town is bad enough without outsiders coming in to murder our citizens.
Noneya, you are right about Ferriday. I refuse to drive over there anymore. They constantly ticket people for seatbelt violations, but let drug dealers do their business right under their noses. SOunds like they may be getting compensated for turning their heads to those crimes. By all means, though - make sure you catch those criminals that don't have their seatbelts on!
ijohnson, you are correct. I'm thankful I don't live in New Orleans, either. It is not a safe place to be. What I'd like to know is why these two cities (New Orleans and Ferriday) have become so bad? Could it be because no one is enforcing the law or fighting crime? Wake up, Natchez - we might be next.

(((sayitoutloud))) nope i sure wasn't in town.. kind of wanted to be though... getting to be the holidays and i'm just missing family and friends... you know i don't even think i've ever been in walmart in v-town???? hmm??? going to have to go check it out!! i've been to almost everyother walmart it feels like hahaha!!

ok so i'm reading for the records and tell me if this makes sense to ya'll??

""Odell Carter III, 25, pleaded guilty to littering. Fine set at $243.

Jonathan William Myers, 26, pleaded guilty to failure to obey audible siren. Fine set at $135.Myers also pleaded guilty to reckless driving. Fine set at $195.""

one person 'litters' maybe throwing a cig. butt down or even having stuff fly out the back of his or her truck... but the other person 'wreckless driving' could've killed some one, or seriously hurt some one... so why is the littering more then the reckless driving????

help me understand it ya'll my brain is working soo slowly... hahahaha!

So Maxwell still Sheriff or what?

Yes, I was jst told that Maxwell is in for 4 more years.

Posted by eagles (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 12:03 p.m. (Suggest removal)

That is a disgrace! I am so glad I don't live over there.

Posted by eagles (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 12:07 p.m. (Suggest removal)

Let's let murderers and drug dealers walk free, let the sheriff corrupt the town, have knowledge of illegal voting and by all means - leav the fine man in office! What kind of political mess are we living in? This area (Natchez, Vidalia, Fayette and Woodville) have made such a joke of all of us recently. It doesn't matter whether you steal money, steal votes, murder, sell drugs or anything. What a shame.

Posted by eagles (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 12:10 p.m. (Suggest removal)

What I'd like to know is exactly WHO can we trust anymore? I'm not sure I can trust anyone. I'm wondering if the large cities of Chicago, LA and New Yok are as corrupt as this little area?

Posted by noneya (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 12:10 p.m. (Suggest removal)

No, eagles, it is NOT a disgrace. The Lipsey supporters wanted a fair trial and guess what...THEY GOT IT! Just think about it...all the slander worked for some folks here on this forum, but it didn't work for the judge. She ruled on FACTS and the LAW, just remember that.

Posted by frogprincenessntz (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 12:11 p.m. (Suggest removal)

I think if you will read the posts about the judge, everyone said she was tough, but fair. That means that GL did not have the proofs that the posters on here said he had. I was not able to be in the court and had to depend on what was said here. When one allegation after another was posted with no details, no proofs, even that RM killed someone, you knew not to put much stock into what those kind posted.

Posted by eagles (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 1:18 p.m. (Suggest removal)

I didn't put much stock in what was posted, but I did believe what the paper wrote, because I assumed they had researched the subject. I don't know either RM or GL and don't live in Louisiana, but I believe in term limits. If we had term limits, we wouldn't have had to deal with voting old Binkey out of office. Of course, he would have shot his own self in the foot eventually!

Posted by eagles (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 1:47 p.m. (Suggest removal)

I'm not really for or against either one of them, but I'm dumbfounded over the fact that it is legal to have many residences and vote in whichever parish you choose. What happens when it's time to vote for governor, president, etc? I know by law you can only vote once. And I'm curious why it was ok for those employees to use addresses other than their own. Wouldn't that be against the law? Is that something that should be punishable at least by terminting the employee for lying? I would not be happy if I found out an employee was "registered to vote" in my parish only to find out (when they testify in court!) that they don't actually live there. If he doesn't fire them or give them a time limit in which to get moved into Concordia, then what? This whole thing is a mess. Term limits. Even the president has a term limit. I'm not saying it has to be two four year terms, but something would be nice.

hey guys..... can't you all just get along while I am gone???.... supertrucker is still at it!!! OMG!!! Ok.... let's see..... the public has the right to know if a killer is on the loose and what he/she looks like.... Also, somebody, if he hasn't left the area right after the crime, may RECOGNIZE the killer.... hello??? jeez...

Posted by DUCKHUNTER (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 3:23 p.m. (Suggest removal)

f ur gonna attack RM, then u need 2 put Jackson Mayor on the list 2. As for supertrucker, he was, uh IS sick and tired of the media "leaking" stories tht benefit the "real bad guys," and as for y this guy hsn't bn caught yet, THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM THT EVRY1 IS SO PROUD TO DEFEND IS A JOKE BECAUSE NO1 HAS THE THE BALLS TO PISS SOME1 OFF B/C IT INFRINGES ON THEIR "CRIMINAL RIGHTS!" WHO CARES ABOUT THE VICTIMS RIGHTS? NOT THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM!

Posted by thetruthhurts (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 4:58 p.m. (Suggest removal)

Just see some similarities.... Didn't mean to offend... And my "call sign" is what it is, for a reason.... People seem to find importance in a variety of different things... The mayor of Jackson is not my priority. (I don't find alot wrong with Frank Melton, myself, I just think he handles things perhaps not with the style some would hope. I think he is trying to do good in his own way. But that's my opinion.... AND I do agree to a point about the newspaper... their job is to sell a story..... but I think most of the reporters try to do it as truthful as they know how.... this isn't a tabloid by the way.... it is a NEWSpaper. I don't think they are warning the perp..... that is just ridiculous..... But then again, that's MY opinion... and the truth DOES hurt!!

i hope they catch him truth. and for DUCKHUNTER~~~ i hate that this article may send him fleeing to some other unsuspecting, innocent town, but i think i'd rather he get outta here if you want to know the truth. i sure hope they get him before he does anything else. he's dangerous.

Posted by ijohnson (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 5:49 p.m. (Suggest removal)

You know, the funny thing about these kind of guys is the fact that he will be caught sooner rather than later because they don't have sense enough to stay out of trouble. If he doesn't know how to read, there are people around him who keep him informed about what's being reported on the evening news and in the daily newspapers.

However, being that they are leading a life of crime, they can't stay underground or quite. They usually get caught committing another crime. Maybe he'll get pulled over in Ferriday for not wearing a seat belt or speeding, then arrested.

I DON'T THINK I SHOULD HOLD MY BREATH ON THAT ONE (being arrested after being pulled over)! //(*_*)\\

Posted by peacerulz (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 6:07 p.m. (Suggest removal)

it'd be nice if someone would turn him in, but......................................

Posted by DUCKHUNTER (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 6:13 p.m. (Suggest removal)

peacerulz; He is dangerous and hasn't bn caught after all this time b/c America doesn't pull together like it's supposed to, like it NEEDS TO. No1 wants to "rat" on another; "Let's just mind our own business and let it be some1 else's problem." I hate this type of attitude, but I believe tht there was a better way of letting the "immediate" public know about him being in the area.

Posted by peacerulz (anonymous) on November 19, 2007 at 6:27 p.m. (Suggest removal)

The only way Ferriday police can find this fellow, they will have to stop giving out Tickets. Now you can wonder which one they will do.

Just got back, Has anyone heard anything about the investigation concerning the young man that fell to his death working at one of the New Hotels? Or is this going to be another one that will pass into the Night with someone getting paid under the table, to clog up the process until it leaves the mind of the Investigator and the public?
