Man arrested for house, car burlgary
Published Friday, March 7, 2008
NATCHEZ — A short-lived crime spree did not pan out very well for one local man.
Sean Timmons, 23, 6 Grafton Circle, was arrested on Thursday morning and charged with burglary of a dwelling and three counts of auto burglary.
Adams County Sheriff’s deputy Maj. Jody Waldrop said Timmons’ late night crime spree came to an end when he was arrested at his home, asleep on the sofa.
Waldrop said the sheriff’s office was initially called when one of Timmons’ family members noticed he had a pistol and a large amount of change that did not belong to him.
The same suspicious relative then went to inspect a storage unit on the property.
Inside the storage unit they found a 42-inch plasma television and a welding machine.
Waldrop said shortly after the relative placed the first call three additional calls concerning auto burglaries came into the sheriff’s office.
When deputies went to the Timmons home, Sean was found asleep on the sofa with .9mm pistol.
During the course of their investigation deputies learned the television and the welding machine were stolen from a home at 5 Grafton Circle.
The owner of 5 Grafton Circle was not home during the burglary.
Timmons allegedly took other items such as a chain saw and an air compressor from the house but simply left them outside the residence, Waldrop said.
Waldrop said stereo equipment was stolen from all three of the burglarized vehicles.
Sheriff’s deputies were able to return the stolen property to their rightful owners.
Sheriff Ronny Brown said Timmons was convicted of stealing an all-terrain vehicle in 2003.
Instead of jail time, Timmons was sent to drug court, which he graduated from in 2007.

Maybe someone will be kind enough to tell us who the judge was that turned him loose the first time.

That is dumb! Just goes to show that the office officials we have now do not enforce the rules. They let them off light and they go right back to what they were doing!

He will back very soon stealing from the same homes and surrounding houses....They never keep burglars locked up. Probation and back on the street..Maybe if they ripped of all the judges and most of the rich neighborhoods once a day or so, something would get done..

Great graduation..Next he will be robbing fast food resturants and stores, before long this will be another Jackson. No wonder so many people apply for concealed weapon permits.

Yep, and I just applied for a concealed weapons permit myself! He will get off light again! No doubt in my mind!

Here we go again, someone (the Judge or D.A.) laid down and accepted or suggested a weak sentence for this guy. If one looks into the criminal histories of the people who are caught in Natchez Adams county you will quickly learn that they have a criminal past. "Drug Court? The R.I.D. Program?" You kidding me? This is what idiots are sentenced to when the Judge or D.A. dosen't want to send "Little Johnny" to the big house, it's an easy out for them. Are we to believe that "Little Johnny" is going to go to some sort of "boot camp" learn how to march, make his bed and use the word "sir" and then come home to function like a decent human being? B.S.!!!!! It's the same old story, the cops catch 'em and the criminal justice system lets them go!!

How do judges get to the bench? How do all the civic leaders get their positions? Think about it. Ole BUDDY SYSTEM running rampant in NTZ/AC. Well, come to think of it, EVERYWHERE. People not taking the time to consider who they vote for is the root cause of it all. Some voted in cause they're black or white or they are grandma's favorite nephew. Many stupid reasons to vote someone in office. "AIN'T" that the way it goes in Ntz/AC? If you are not happy with the justice system, do something about it and stop complaining. Vote the offending leaders out. Until then we will just have to eat their dirt.

With neighbors like him, who needs enemies? I guess he just walked across the street to steal a welding machine and a tv? Somebody had to help him unless the welding machine is one of those little bitty ones.

Years ago whenever a young man (17-18)was showing signs of heading down "the wrong path",they and their families were given two choices, jail or the military.I'm sure some of the older contributors to this forum have witnessed individuals that after a stint in the military turned what could have been a "life of crime" into a positive change and therefore a productive and rewarding life. Why not rather than throwing the baby out with the bathwater (send 'em to jail, let 'em rot) can't we go back to this practice and maybe save a few of these young men while they are still young enough to be molded by a little dose of hard but fair discipline!

Good job relative of this criminal for doing what's right . These criminal minded individuals make me sick !!! Nobody owes you nothing in this world! If you want something you have to work for it like normal people do . What gives you the right to take something that another has worked so hard to acquire ? Throw the book at this bum . Again , good job relative for doing what's morally right !!!!

Sean’s relative:
Thank you so much for loving Sean enough to report this. You could have very well saved his life.
As noted above, many for our citizens are tired of this BS and arming themselves.
Tragically, accidents will happen as they always have. But, bottom line these thugs will be accountable for their actions. Law abiding American citizens have a God given right to protect themselves and their loved ones.
Hopefully news of these circumstances will reach them and help them make better choices.
Just say no to drugs. Get a life, go to work. Be productive for society.

Put these young men in boot camp and let the drill sergeants get them into gear. Laying around in jail just doesn't do the trick.

It takes a person of great integrity and honesty to do what this individual did in reporting his relative . Not many people will do this , a bunch will look the other way . I'm so glad to read that there good , upstanding citizens like this . No matter what anyone say , you did the right thing !

I salute the relative as well for assisting the sheriff dept. Give his but some time in jail where we know he won't be able to break in homes at least while he's in jail. Tougher sentencing will reduce some criminal activity in Natchez, especially from repeat offenders and career criminals.

Is Judge Sanders the same judge who conducts court in Woodville? I know there is a Judge Sanders who is very light on offenders in Woodville, and I know of several incidents there that involved offenders who should have been in prison committing more crimes.
Posted by Omega (anonymous) on March 8, 2008 at 12:16 a.m. (Suggest removal)
Swapmeet - Yes, Judge Sanders is the one responsible for turning all of the criminals loose in Adams and Wilkinson Counties. She has her own agenda and it has never worked in the best interest of the public.

Is she appointed or elected? I haven't lived here very long.
Posted by Omega (anonymous) on March 8, 2008 at 1:36 a.m. (Suggest removal)
She is elected, ain't it so sad! That just shows what mentality of the voter in her distrect have. She lives in the area where most of the thugs come from...thughs don't want to go to jail so they keep her in office.

Omega and anyone else on here talking about how horrible of a judge, judge sanders is Get A Life. You in particualar have just been bashing her on every chance you get. You know nothing about her, and that is obvious by you last statement about where she lives. You couldn't tell me where she lived if you wanted to because you don't know. How about you go educate and better yourself and quit "Hating"
Posted by Swapmeet (anonymous) on March 10, 2008 at 8:42 p.m. (Suggest removal)
I'm not talking about how horrible of a judge she is asandbb22. I just commented on how I know of criminals that she gave probation to for jailable offenses who later committed crimes that they couldn't have committed had they been in jail. That's all. If I was "hating", then I would be calling her names instead of talking about the issues.
