They should have been taken out! I hope that the Louisiana taxpayer does not end up taken care of them if they are found and sent to Angola! Of course, they get their trial and if found guilty! Remember the criminal has more rights than the victim (s)!

If that lady has any grandchildren....I'm thinking they hope they end up in jail....Before they find out who they are...

Yal know better than that! They'll get a low bond and back on the streets in no time.

This is just ABSOLUTELY absurd, robbing an 82 year-old!! This lil' ole lady having to go through something like this. This really upsets me! Why should ANYONE, for that matter, have to go through something like this? I'm just so thankful Mrs. January wasn't hurt! God bless her.

Thank God she was not hurt! It would have been so lovely for them to have felt the cold barrel of a Mossburg, double barrel pump, sawed-off shotgun, as they were robbing and ransacking this woman's home, followed by a quick hot blast! Around these cowards, NO ONE is safe. If you can do this to an 82 year old, you can do this to anyone. I will take exception in their case, hopefully, tax payer money is not spent on a trial. Hopefully someone will get to them before the law does. Now, I am off my soapbox and on the way to church shortly.

This incident requires some serious jail time. When they get out on parole (which will be soon) they have to walk around town with a placard reading "I robbed an old lady". He might not get out of that unscathed!!!!!!!!

Hello ya'll . A couple of years ago ,a 80-something yr. old white man in Wikinson County was beat up and robbed and of course nothing was ever done about it . But that is the way things work down there.

Was Ms. January a teacher? When my sweetie heard about this incident this morning, he go so mad. He said she is the sweetest soul and deserves the best life can give her. I have a wonderful idea on how to punish these idiots but the Demo would delete me and none of yall would want to play with me anymore.

This, like the woman yesterday being surprized by an intruder in her car, is a very traumatizing crime. These two ladies will never forget what happened. At the most inopportune time that moment will come back to haunt them.
These are close and personal attacks. The maggots perpetrating this should be made a zample of.
Get close and personal with them. Nut'em.

Hardcorps...today you get the gold star for "most powerfully stated in few words". Your last sentence summed it up and I have no more to say.

Teach4Peace Amen.....Just look at what was going on inJackson last year when they were beating those old people up.....This burns my behind.....2 Things in this world you should NEVER EVER mistreat and it is a chil;d and a old person.....The two most defensless people there is..It takes a real coward to do something like this...

If my child would have done this they would PRAY the law caught them first...

This poor lady has gone through so much for 82, she deserves so much more. My Mama is 82 & if someone were to hold her up at gunpoint I would try my best to find them.
Now it the time for Tapper Hendricks to prove what he can do & find these cheeps!!
At 82 she don't have that many more years and now she will never have a peaceful nights sleep.
I agree with ((kpage)) when they are released (if they find them) they should have to were a public sign saying they robbed an old lady. Only maybe it should be branded across their foreheads.

This so wrong!! I'm with yal....and I had also heard she was the sweetest little lady in the world and prob would have GIVEN them anything they wanted had they ASKED! Hasn't she been through enough in her years?

God Bless you Mrs January. I hope they put them under the jail in a hole. Maybe everyone convicted and sent to prison should have to wear a placard stateing why they are there.

Bless her heart. These cowards stake out the weaker ones to torment. I've always hoped for a long life, but with great hope it would be a peaceful old age with all my babies around me. All my family , children, grandchildren, great-grand children are my babies regardless of how old they become. But the hopes of a peaceful old age is quickly diminishing each day. I remember the old days when I was growing up and always had the great enjoyment of being entertained by all the "uncles" or "cousins" that found a home with us, when they had no where else go, they found safe haven in our home. Mama and daddy, some way or another always found room for them until it was time for them to depart this world. Now for whatever reason, God has placed me in a safe haven. He has surrounded me with an adoptive family who see to my safety. And with my own family as I know them, I pity the scoundrel who would try to torment me. They would get to them before the law would and it wouldn't be pretty. My wish is, if it could be fulfilled, is that all children and elders had a safe haven as I do.

This boils my blood and my comment would surely be
deleted. I'm hoping to hear they were shot while
resisting arrest.

My mother is 92 and if that would have happened to her,I would be in jail right beside those low lifes!!!!! Because I would surely have to kill them!! or at least they would wish they were already dead!!! I surely hope they find these men, because as it seems no one is safe anymore, especially in our own homes!God be with her, thru this ordeal, that she will find some kind of peace again to live out the rest of her life.

This was a horrible crime -- a tough thing for any senior citizen (or anybody at any age) to endure. However, I am MOST grateful for the fact that they didn't kill Mrs. January. We read all too often where the victim is shot and killed for no reason.

I'm glad they spared her life. Maybe they knew her!?!?!? Let's hope they knew her for the sweet person she is and chose not to beat, rape or kill her. Now, that's a blessing in the midst of this horrible crime. That's something to be really thankful for -- in these days and times, having spared this lady's life is an exception to the rule, unfortunately.

These guys deserve the ELECTRIC chair! What has our town come too? The DRUGS have got to stop! BUT thank GOD she was alright. It has to be a neighbor, or somebody close by that knows her. I hope they don't come back to harm her and if they do I hope she blows there BUTT away.

We need to keep Mrs. January in our prayers, poor Lady. This must've been so tramatizing for her. I also pray they catch these 2 "SICK" individuals and put them away for good! She is so very sweet, she taught my children and we just love her to death. She & her husband (who are good friends w/my In- law's) are wonderful people. With just losing Mr. January, she'll probably never feel safe alone again. She's really not in good health anyway and you know this scared her to death, they could've given her a heart attack. I hope they get attempted murder along with robbery. If anyone knows or hears anything, I hope they will call the VPD and give them the info. We don't need this kind of trash in our town!!! God bless you Mrs. January. We love you and are praying for you!!
