Ochs hired as sports

NATCHEZ — Patrick Ochs has joined the staff of The Democrat as a sports reporter.
Ochs will work with Sports Editor Jeff Edwards to cover area sporting events.
Ochs is a May graduate of the University of Mississippi with a degree in marketing and communications.
He was the sports editor of The Daily Mississippian, the campus newspaper.
He also worked as an intern with the AAA minor league baseball team the Portland Beavers of the Pacific Coast League.
Ochs graduated from George Walton High School in Marietta, Ga.

welcome patrick! perhaps you might jump the river over to the vidalia dixie youth ballfield and watch the tournament saturday morning, or friday night for the regular games, i know sports in this area are hectic and not everyone can be in the paper, anyway you are invited.
