Library hours limited due to heat
Published Sunday, June 1, 2008
NATCHEZ — The Judge George W. Armstrong Library will be open for limited hours until further notice. The building’s air conditioning system is not operating, but is being repaired. In the meantime, in concern for the safety of patrons, staff and computer equipment, the library will only be open during the morning hours.
It will open an hour earlier, at 8 a.m. and close at noon, beginning Monday.
The air handler motor, which blows the air out through the ducts, had to be removed and is being rebuilt.
The city is working to have the system repaired as quickly as possible.

Pity the poor folks who work in or use the library. How is it that the elevator and now the AC have had such little care over the years?
