That's what has been wrong with Ferriday. It had a defective gene.
Truly this sounds like Fayette back in the 60s when the Feds were coming down with a warrant to search the courthouse and it mysteriously burned down. Mr. Evers was and still is the suspect but it's not pc to say so.
I'm not exactly pc though.
I'm like sayitloud. I think it was an inside job.

It is a little fishy that the Feds come in and not too long after it is mysteriously burgalrized. Guess we'll have to once again play the waiting game to see what exactly, if anything, is missing.

Is there even a police department in Ferriday/Vidalia/Natchez???....there are burglaries, thefts and muggings going on every week.

all the casino people were in town for the grand paper showing of the casino. All that paper and no money. Maybe they took the paper to the church that reported a potential fire and then robbed the city hall in Ferriday to help pay for more paper drawings.

Gene isn't out of town...I saw him just yesterday getting gas at the service station just across from Kaye's grocery.

Yep, Gene's in town. He doesn't depart for Vegas until next week. There was a huge writeup in the Sentinel about the pageant. I really hope Tiffany Lloyd wins. A local girl making it as far as she has is quite a feat. She's a top three favorite so far.
I'm not gonna get my back up anymore about Geney going to Vegas on the free wagon. It just shows that he has always been a taker, not a giver. If he had the town's best interest at heart, he'd have payed for it himself. It's not so bad that Tiffany chose him to accompany her, it's that taxpayers are footing the bill and didn't have a say on it.

Ya think Gene backed the car up to town hall's front doors? Won't be a first for outgoing mayors in Ferriday. Think back a few terms ago.

Where were the Police that are supposed to be patroling those streets? It wouldn't surprise me to know that Gene Allen called Madison and told him to make sure his officers made themselves scarce in that area to give Gene Allen or whoever he hired to break into City Hall and steal paperwork that could help get him convicted!
From what I've been told,,,,,It was the City Inspecters computer that was stolen with all the "permits" on it!

How convenient!!!

Did Tiffany "choose" him, or did he just invite himself along?
On the original topic - did they steal the sign? Maybe we have a group of thieves with a sign fetish in town?
