Wilkinson County must clean itself up

In the Friday, June 27 issue of The Democrat your editorial was titled “Wilkinson Co. must look to future.”

I just want to add this comment. Yes, Wilkinson Count must look to the future. However, Wilkinson County must first rid itself of certain elected officials and other citizens who are guilty of the corruption that has been going on here. I do hope the law enforcement people will now get busy — they already have the information — and try these people, then put them in jail for the maximum term.

Of course, this probably will not happen, as if they ever get to trial, which we all doubt, the judge will just give them a slap on the hand, sentence them to the maximum and then only put them on probation.
