Natchez man charged with armed robbery

NATCHEZ — A Natchez man has been arrested and charged with felony robbery with a deadly weapon after an early morning altercation Friday.
Roger Kelly, 54, 210 N. Union St., was reported to have pulled a knife on a victim and stolen a small amount of cash, Natchez Police Chief Mike Mullins said.
“The victim claimed he and Kelly had an altercation,” Mullins said.
The incident occurred at 3 a.m. in the 300 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Street.
“He was arrested by officers in the area,” Mullin said.
Kelly is being held without bond until arraignment.

3 a.m.- There ain't NOTHING GOOD goin on at 3 a.m. If you're out in the streets at that time and something bad happens to you, you should have known better.

Today at my age, 3 am is an ungodly time to be out and about. Heck, I was yawning when I heard the fireworks last night! I guess wisdom follows the first few wrinkles. I'll settle with that!

Hardcorps, you are funny
I agree NtzMom55, 3 am is a bit late to be out, especially walking the street, that's putting yourself in harm's way for the most part. Even in my own neighborhood I'd be worried about disturbing my neighbors. But still no excuse for any thug to try and pick on somebody. Glad no one was killed and that NPD caught this fool.

grrbrts, sweetie, I don't know about curfews for children now but once they did and enforced the law, but heaven forbid you should stray from the topic, I did yesterday and got called on the carpet for it. Then the blogger went private to try and soothe it over. That does not take much character in my book. If you're big enough to blast someone in public, well you know the rest of the thought. Anyway call the police dept about the curfew, they should know. There should be one.
Anyway, I found delight in the bloggers above. Too, too funny.

Kelly and I graduated from Natchez Adams (1973).
He was such an inspiring artist back then, very talented.
I see he did not nurse this talent. Oh! how time does bring
change, because now all he does is stand on the street
corners and ask for petty cash.
I am glad no one was seriously injured.
