Some things indicate economic woes
Published Sunday, July 13, 2008
Closely observe these things in your area of town this summer:
Tanning booth visits
Meals eaten out weekly
iPhone sales (3G sold out day 1… July 11)
Use of drive thrus
Cell phone sales for pre-teens
Teens (age 15-16) with their own cars
Landscaping and car wash/detailing businesses
Vacations abroad
Video game sales
Lawn cutting contractor business
Do you think that most of these things are in decline? Or leveling off?
Why not?
The liberal media would have you believe (despite the USA only having two mild recessions since 1983) we are in a recession these days.
This is because they want the secular socialist elected to grow government, raise taxes and trash traditional values even more, go figure.

What?! No, these are the signs of economic woes.
Gasoline Prices
Job cuts (the Airlines, the once viable car manufactoring biz)
US Banks and lending institutions tanking and being bailed out by FOREIGN agencies.
The housing market is in shambles, it's neither a buyer's market nor a seller's market now. Folk were approved for MORE house than they should have been, now that the paychecks are smaller and some paychecks have been lost, those same people now, can't make the mortgage.
Billions financed on a war that has netted what?
I could go on and on. Surely, there are LOCAL industries that may thrive, and thankfully so, that can serve to keep things chugging along, but this is certainly not a means to sustain this entire economic machine for the long term. The "liberal" media hasn't thrown out anything that is NOT true, When we assign these monikers, liberal and conservative, they do nothing except to continue to divide and in the interim, NOTHING get'a accomplished. I think WE ALL KNOW things are not good and that the current track we are on, is NOT getting us out of this mess, but carrying us in further.

Not the "secular socialists" again! Schexnayder, if you don't think this country is going through tough economic times, you are a victim of your own manifestations of delusion. Is the financial collapse of the world's largest financial institutions an invention of the "liberal media?" Is the plummeting stock market and devaluation of common stocks an invention of the fore mentioned media? Is four dollar a gallon gasoline and the accompanying increases in utilities, food and other commodities another propaganda tool of this "liberal media" and "secular socialists" conspiracy?
How did you get a Ph.D., by sending in a hundred box tops to religious nut-job university?

Doug don't try to sell that tired ol socialist boogey man.
The alternative has turned out to be a cynical and lying bunch of professional bureaucrats who spend faster than the liberals when given a chance.
The socialist-comunist-anti-God-anti-freedom-liberal slanted-devil media is an invention of the power hungry right wing of American politics. They know the most ignorant folks need a boogey man, so they chose one that gets in their way -- news facts and figures.
The media is simply sensationalist -- because the average person doesn't pay attention to details unless someone jumps up and down and cries wolf. Like you are doing.
Give me professional media any day over stump jumpers who are always right about the bad ol media but never seem to really be up on any facts.
