Man stabbed to death

NATCHEZ — A Natchez man was fatally stabbed Wednesday evening, reportedly by his wife of one week.
Douglas Fleming, 42, 1-C Sixth St., was stabbed once in the chest allegedly by Yvette Williams, 41.
Williams called the Natchez Police Department at 11:06 p.m. and advised them she and her husband had been arguing and she stabbed him, according to Police Chief Mike Mullins.
Mullins said when officers arrived at the scene, Fleming was dead inside the apartment.
Williams has been charged with murder.
Fleming has a criminal history including an Aug. 4, 2007, arrest for domestic violence.
In October of 2007, an arrest warrant was issued for Fleming for telephone harassment.
Mullins said the victim who signed the warrant was not Williams.
