Rivera arrested for grand theft in Texas

Published Thursday, July 31, 2008

NATCHEZ — On Wednesday John Rivera was arrested on charges of grand theft above $20,000.

The warrant for Rivera’s arrest was filed in West Palm Beach, Fla., however Rivera was arrested in Baytown, Texas where he currently serves as CEO of Sustainable Power Corporation.

Rivera’s attorney Richard Cutler said the charges were baseless.

While Cutler said he did not know who filed the charges he said they were “in relation to a previous company he (Rivera) was a officer of in Palm Bach.”

Cutler said he was confident the matter would be rectified in a few days.

Rivera is the CEO of U.S. Sustainable Energy Corporation, a company that leased a warehouse near the Adams County Port in 2006.

At the time Rivera claimed his company would eventually make 1.5 million gallons of biofuel a day.

Florida, a sunny place for shady operators.

Posted by dynahog (anonymous) on July 31, 2008 at 9:51 p.m. (Suggest removal)

Does anyone know the Florida company name if John Rivera was associated with it a long time ago?

Who filed the complaint of Grand Theft?

How did the Natchez Democrat get this story?

Search the Internet and newspapers in Baytown, Texas area, West Palm Beach, Florida area, the AP or any other. This is the only online source of the information.

Why?

John Rivera's traveling road show. Just check out this biofuel oil. This stuff will power your home and your car. It will cook your dinner and it makes a great salad dressing. It cures diaper rash, keeps your linoleum floor shiny, prevents tooth decay, and makes your laundry whiter and brighter.

PetticoatMaffia,

Yes you should check it out. Moving to Baytown, TX they advanced the processing significantly after the last unit to run at Natchez produced a Biocrude Oil. From it, they had 69 products indentified.

I wouldn't put Biocrude Oil in any vehicle, but the Biogasoline (BG100), Replacement E85, Cellulosic Diesel, Bio-Jet Fuel or Marine Fuel are viable Renewable Replacements to using something refined from Crude Oil.

There are now essentially 4 products from the Rivera Process:
1. Heavy Biocrude Oil
2. Light Biocrude Oil
3. Synthetic Natural Gas
4. Ash

What they added were Distillation methods to produce motor vehicle, airplane or marine fuels. It would be the distilled Biogasoline you put in your pickup truck, unless you have a diesel where you'd put in cellulosic diesel.

The Biocrude Oil is trademarked Vertroleum (TM). Thus far 7000 gallons were shipped to Envirocompanies, Inc. last week. Next week they will be about ready to ship 60,000 gallons to Envirocompanies. Envirocompanies will produce whatever fuels are to be sold as is or used as blendstock.

The "unit" of 4 Rivera Reactors is coming online. Unit 1 is READY. Unit 2 is about READY. Unit 3 and 4 have a parts issue. The vendor shipped the wrong parts. So they have a temporary fix in work, but need the original part they ordered. It is specific to very high temperatures and pressures.

They are working with L.Sole, S.A. (a private company from Spain) to secure financing up to $2 Billion in Baytown, TX to build a Model Facility including a Green Power Plant (523 MW) and 400-Reactor Biofuel Plant.

Waiting in the south is a Central American country with World Bank approval of a $6.5 Billion USD loan for a 400-Reactor Biofuel Plant, but I think a 1000 MW Green Power Plant.

With L.Sole and others, they will spread biofuel technology throughout Central America, the Carribean, Malaysia, Europe and all of Russia.

It is ambitious in scheduling.

But so is the race to invent a commercial space plane and win another $10 Million prize.

However, in the case of USSE/SSTP and their subsidiaries and partners, this business is nothing like what you thought JR said when in Mississippi.

ExxonMobil just reported income of $1500/second. The most ever from a US Big Oil company.

That's nothing compared with the potential of USSE/SSTP.

dynahog, please explain why John Rivera can make this great discovery in Baytown and not Natchez. He was set up and ready to go and he also harped on the so called four reactors he had up and running. He did the test in Vidalia and where did that get the investors except left holding an empty bag. Now John Rivera talks about Spain investing and in Natchez it was the Dominica Republic. The towns change and the names of the big investors change but the game is the same(FRAUD). Some of the local investors need to comment on the way the operation took their money. If everyone of the investors got together and complained loud enough maybe something could be done before he continues to deceive and get rich.

If you would see my comments from last year you will see that i have been predicting matters like this to happen. A little google reasearch can prove it's a Wall st. scam. Just wait... RENTECH will be next.

comments said Rivera gave a contribution to Browns campaign when he ran for sheriff (what difference does that make) eyeinthe sky, you must have not got your contribution or you did like the others and did not claim it He also gave money to most of the other candidates, childrens home, sunshine shelter, catholic charties and local churches, adams county supervisors, adams county for vest for sheriff deputies and natchez police for vests. the ND praised him as a savior also for Natchez when he came here how do we know this biofuel doesn't work come on give Mr Rivera his day in court and not in blogs about who he gave money to This is a slap in a mans face that did things to help people here, have you ever gave a donation or gift to help someone, probably not. Mr Rivera, you deserve better you did a lot of good in Natchez I donot see anyone in adams county sueing him , I see him filing charges against people that worked for him for crimes, but none on Mr Rivera. I know this sounds like I like him, The truth, I donot know him or ever met him, but I read a lot about him in the paper and most of it was good deeds

vilou,

The USSE Natchez reactor configuration was used to produce the Biocrude Oil from 20# of crushed soybeans, witnessed by AmSpec Labs, and then they took it to their Houston lab where the discoveries were made.

How, why John Rivera chose to move to Baytown, TX was by chance according to him. It was an opportunity that just happened.

Obviously he had to travel to Houston to visit the AmSpec Labs, and probably was tipped on Concert Concrete in Baytown. It was a relatively large area with a train track and spur in the right location.

When opportunity knocks, one must open the door.

andy,

It could be a lot more than a slap in the face of John Rivera.

It could be a result of an unethical act by a lawyer for a civil plaintiff that has yet to win any judgement.

I'll say no more, but what comes around goes around.

Posted by andy (anonymous) on August 1, 2008 at 10:28 a.m. (Suggest removal)

that must be lawyer Pintard, he represents Rivera as far as I remember seeing in the ND

Posted by dynahog (anonymous) on August 1, 2008 at 1:21 p.m. (Suggest removal)

andy,
NO. Not John Rivera's lawyer. The lawyer representing someone that sued Rivera, and apparently has not WON.

Rumor is that the charges have been dropped because of a statute of limitations.

Rivera did help a lot of people and gave contributions to a lot of people, when he did yes we all praised him. He was not a crook then. He might not be one now Give it time He might be a con, but the ND reported we had 3 here this week getting a car so What

natchez500: Rivera has yet to be convicted, but Binkey was guilty as charged. No comparison.

dynahog, Ask all the broke investors about John Rivera's knock of opportunity in Natchez. He came and gave away (a little) money and this made him look good. He is using the same( MO in Baytown) to make money for himself not the investors. The same story about four reactors and the excuses he uses to delay the process. If he is so honest and sincere, then why leave Natchez owing bills? How convenient that the opportunity just happened to knock in Baytown. I have always heard you have to spend money to make money, John Rivera must have heard the same. I wonder how much he had to give away (in Baytown) to convince the people there what a great guy he is! When Baytown goes the same as Natchez then I wonder what opportunity and town will knock next. Did you ever think where he got the money to give (a little) away? It must have been the investors, so the investors are the real ones who helped people in need!! John Rivera should have his date in court and let the chips fall where they may.
