Arrest made in robbery
Published Monday, August 25, 2008
NATCHEZ — A Natchez man was arrested Saturday in connection with a July 21 armed robbery.
Tamond Dunbar, 29, 1360 Martin Luther King Jr. St., was arrested and charged with armed robbery for the July 21 robbery of the Zippy No. 7.
During the robbery, the alleged robbers forced the clerk on duty into the store’s cooler at gunpoint.
One man, Jessie McKnight, 42, 2707 Roselawn Drive, was previously arrested for the robbery. He was reportedly a former night manager at another Zippy store location.
“The investigation continued after the arrest of the first suspect, and we were able to develop enough information to arrest Dunbar as the second suspect present during the robbery,” Police Chief Mike Mullins said.
Dunbar was detained without bond Sunday.
McKnight was bound over to the grand jury on Aug. 19.

Good work NPD. Now we can get that wrist slapped and this piece of trash back on the street. Expediently so he can get back to making a living doing what he does best. After 10 or 12 more arrests he will mess up and kill somebody and maybe get 5 years instead of probation.

"We're gonna lock 'em up and throw away the key" said the officials, after which they said, "Naw...just pickin'. He'll be out soon".

Robbing a store is a state offense.
If you rob a bank, the feds get involved. They take a little more hard-nosed attitude towards robbery of money that they are insuring.
They do not play with thieves, they have enough to deal with at the IRS and Congress....lmbo...

"we were able to develop enough information to arrest Dunbar as the second suspect present during the robbery."
I guess it took about a month for his partner to roll over on him. I wonder how much time the first suspect got off on the plea.
