NATCHEZ — It didn’t take long for a Natchez man released from jail Monday to have another warrant issued for his arrest.
Jessie Sentel Davis, 27, 209-A Dumas Drive, was arrested Sunday and charged with possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, misdemeanor fleeing law enforcement and for outstanding warrants for driving under the influence (first offense,) simple assault (domestic violence) and four counts of felony Medicaid fraud.
Davis was released from jail Monday.
The warrant that has just recently been signed is for shooting into an occupied dwelling.
Natchez Police Department Sgt. Craig Godbold said Sunday at 9 p.m., Davis got into an altercation with his ex-girlfriend who is also the mother of three of his children.
They were arguing outside when Davis got out of his truck and began shooting at her, Godbold said.
“He shot at least four rounds with at least one going in the house,” he said.
Inside the house were five children, ranging between two and five years old.
