Makes no difference to me. I paid out every dime I ever owed them. They hounded me like a dog every month to pay more than I could afford. We had family and friends giving us leftovers and donations because we didn't have enough money left to buy food. I never missed a payment and was so glad to get them off my back. I promised then I would never go back there.

Collections seem to be a big part of what they do now-a-days. So Sad.

They will not close even if they file for bankruptcy, they will have to cut some services and close a unit or 2. They will come out of this better and lighter in the payroll, but that is going to have to happen anyways.

Only a small part of their problem is collections and they had a very poor setup. Each visit was a separate invoice and I was using their wound care unit and going every week. I paid what I could and the more they hounded me the less I paid. Finally was turned over to collections and it got paid out. However, when I called for a payoff and was quoted a figure, I paid that then they tried to come back on another invoice. I refused to pay because it was supposed to be included in the payoff figure. Doug ? was unwilling to work with anybody on paying accounts. Community was much better at negotiating because they knew the padded part could be reduced for easier payout.

Out of nearly a hundred votes only two comments? I would never go to community NEVER I have always used Regional and will continue too, I have never had one complaint about regional and trust me I have practically lived there!! My son is four and he has asthma so we have spent alot our time there! The staff is what makes NR. At one point my lil boy was in there he was about 9 months old he had been in there for about a week and was on steriods for his breathing didnt get a whole bunch of sleep. You know how the nurses seem to come in at all hours of the night and wake you up along with at the time my son, One night i heard my little boy and as i looked over the nurse was rocking him back to sleep, I pretended i was asleep just to see how long she would stay, she stayed for almost an hour to make sure he was good and asleep before she laid him down. From that moment on I will never intrust in another hospital.

They got thereself in it, let them get out of it without our help! They should have thought about what could happen in the long run! They have had plenty of time to see this coming! When the s**t hits the fan, they finally decide to do something! TOO LATE!

We've used Nat Regional and prefer them over Community by far. However, as far as their billing system, they stink. Litterally stink.
We got about 6 different invoices for one emergency room visit. one for the room, one for the dr, one for the xrays, one for them to be read, etc...
I think they need to reroute their billing department and get someone who knows what they're doing in there. Our bills also got turned over to collections as soon as one payment wasn't there on time. That really made me sorry we give them our business. On the other hand.. the staff is awesome and has always been so good to us, that I'm willing to go through the billing hassle because of the degree of professionalism and caring of their staff.

Some people don't have health insurance or state paid insurance.

They need to put more "common sense" in how they bill folks. If you have 4 or 5 services done, they will hound you for every service separately instead of combining them into one bill. Most people cannot afford to pay 4 or 5 bills per month from the same institution. No wonder they have a problem collecting. USE SOME COMMON SENSE WHEN BILLING YOUR CUSTOMERS. When you overwhelm people, they are more likely to give up.

Gross management incompetence! Who paid the management company to not have a functional system in place and proper social services to help people help themselves and put together a billing department that can put complete itemized bill for a procedure that included everyone involved. This isnt that hard unless you wait until the problem goes into crisis and hospital staff jobs are on the line and even more jobs are lost in our community. We need a charity medical unit and a functional billing system to standardize prices.
