I have not gone down to the river to look, due to the safety issue. With the water level so high, the river bank could be washed out under the road. A person could be standing there watching and be washed away in an instant. People should stay away from the flood sites till the Corp has inspected the river bank.

Ok, ok, I've been and wandered around before the tape was put up. I won't go at all now, especially since those two fools played their "joke". I'm not ready to fight for my life in those currents.

Yes, everyone needs to stay far away. I heard there is a washout cave that the river is cutting under the town. The first time I heard about it they said it went all the way to St. Mary's. The next time I heard about it they said it went to the east a mile and a half from the river. By now it must be halfway to Roxie. I don't know how the town and bluffs have been able to float on the water so long.

I see it just about everyday when I cross the bridge, and I pray as I drive across. I actually been on the riverwalk twice to take my son to look at it, and I don't stay long.

I have gone several times to look at the river from a not so close range i assure you! Although i do find it very interesting! I myself have never seen it up that high back the couple of times it was i was to young to care! I think its sad for two idiots to screw it up for the rest of us that wouldnt do such a stupid thing. Although the couple of times i have been down there, there were several kids too close for my liking so i simply agree! I just think that they should have it patroled and the people that would like to look from a distance should be able to, heck we paid for we should be able to enjoy it.

We used to go to the Riverwalk every day or so to walk the dogs, but I don't know if that counts as going to see the water. I mean, it's just there, we can't help but see it.
