Y'all are getting lazy again. What's wrong with another choice or two? Why can't we have a No without the "crazy"?

No, but I've stood outside and watched them come in many times. Very exciting to do as long as you have a place to go when they get too close!

I chased storms for years. I did it for joy more than anything and it is CRAZY, that's what made it so appealling to me. I had a couple of close calls with tornados and one real close call with a bolt of lightining, I would say about 10 feet. I can tell you this, they look totally different at that distant. They are also kinda like the old saying "You never hear the bullet that hit you." I still enjoy watching storms roll in, but like freedom42, at a much saver distant and cover.

I love to watch a good storm, coming in or off in the distance. I've never felt the urge to chase one, but I can understand that's what some folks want to do for entertainment. I never considered it crazy. Walking around on a golf course under a cloud while holding a little lightning rod in your hands - now THAT'S crazy.

never chased one but do love a storm. I love the way it smells and makes things seem anew when passed. I don't like tornadic weather though, just a good storm with lightening and thunder and a lot of good rain. Nothing beats what God sends down to us.

Wow lambchop, I thought I was the only person in the world who loves the smell of rain hitting dry ground!

I dont chase them.... they come to me. I got a new job in Biloxi after being fired from a local casino. 91 days into my new job... WAM..Katrina hit. Now that was a storm.

I feel like enough of them chase me so I do not chase them. I just watch and try to stay away from the real severe weather when it heads my way.

I laughed when I saw so many voted the way I did. After seeing the destruction they can cause I do not want to be anywhere near them, and like a couple of you, sometimes I can smell the old home front in the storm. But mamma always kept us safe. Sometimes in the soft gentle summer rain she would let us play in it. What fun.

Speaking of "playing in the rain" Destiny, I don't hesitate to run into stores when it rains lightly. The little cool sprinkles feel good, and besides I have shampoo, water, and a dryer at home. LOL! So why not get wet sometimes.
I know exactly what you mean, Redusmfan. It seems like the storms come through Natchez at around 5 o'clock when I have to drive 30 miles home. I hate driving in bad weather.

I do some crazy things, but I respect and leave Mother Nature alone!
