Good luck to the recent hires . It takes a different individual to want to work corrections . Don't just go there because you need a job . The job is highly stressful and can lead to a decline in your health if left unchecked . Those who didn't get hired don't worry , this profession has a high turnover rate due to the built in stress levels . You'll get your chance to work there eventually . I know guys who've left corrections to do welding,truck driving and off shore work . They say the stress and pay is not worth it to their health . Corrections can be a good job if you can deal with the job stress .

I'm not hating but the good people from Ferriday will agree . Vidalia city on the move . I think not ! from what I've seen the only thing they're doing is reshuffling and stealing from Ferriday . That Wallyworld in Vidalia was supposed to be in Ferriday as well as the hospital on the riverfront . And who knows what else they've taken away from Ferriday . Also Vidalia benefits from traffic that flows throughout the whole Tri-city area . I hardly think non of this city on the move would be happening If they weren't in the tri-city area . They are just benefiting basically from taking away from Ferriday ,and the good citizens in Ferriday is allowing it . So before you come on here Frogprincess get some basic facts right . Vidalia is benefiting at the expense of Ferriday .

Natchez so-called leaders don't want growth .They've been preaching economic development since I was in grade school . ,and that's been a long time . They are still preaching economic growth and nothing yet . Nothing ever changes in Natchez . Don't take my word for it . All you have to do is read their papers and drive around certain parts of the city . Their idea of economic development is building a hotel that pays minimum wage . Natchez is backwards . They don't have or ever had a plan for growth .
Vidalia and Ferriday will be better off doing this on their own . There's just too much bickering and disagreement in Natchez to get anything accomplished . Some of Natchez elected officials are extremely anti business and our neighbors to the west is going to find out real soon . Natchez leaders can't do anything without arguing and are rarely in agreement on anything positive as far as business is concerned . And lets not forget , they are experts at running potential businesses off . Ferriday and Vidalia do you really want to partner up with Natchez so-called leaders ?

He better be concerned with Natchez . Heck I'm sure there's something in his huge stimulus package that covers something about grass cutting ,mowing ,city beautification , or something, etc . There has to be something in his trillions money pump . Natchez you just might get your grass cut yet !

The city has always had a noise ordinance , especially against the cars with the boom boxes in them . And they've been fining these bass heads for years . The noise produced by a bar's music system doesn't produce bass tones that throbs throughout a neighborhood like these vehicles . I'm glad they write tickets on these bass heads disturbing the peace with their bass heavy music . Anyone looking for a nice career should get into audiology or the hearing aid business . These kids are going to be deaf before they hit thirty .

I've noticed that diesel at some of the local gas stations is cheaper than gas .
