Their christian lives were shining brightly for everyone to see. This little light is everlasting as he is brought home to our Lord and Savior.

As I posted on another article. There is one more quick thinking person who has been overlooked. Hats off to Mr. Brown for getting the hose. It gave a measure of security for one that went to the aid. I for one am hearten by the 4 men that reacted to the situation and their unselfish act. I'm sure they too made some bad decisions in their lives that if they had it to do over again they wouldn't. The point is they learned from their mistakes. I'm sure the boys and girl involved have all learned a lesson. I believe God was in complete control of the incident and there was a purpose for it. One we may never know or understand. Thanking God.

There was another gentleman the name of Mr.Brown whose quick thinking improvised by taking a water hose down to the men to use in the place of a rope. Thank you Mr. Brown for your quick thinking. That hose gave one of the men some security to go into the water. So 4 heros it is.

Definitions of 'reside' (rĭ-zīd) - The American Heritage® Dictionary

reside (v.) To live in a place permanently or for an extended period.

My point is if you reside somewhere you need to register there and make a difference in your community. But my understanding is that they reside in Baton Rouge with their families while they are registered in Concordia Parish therefore voted in Concordia. While this maybe legal I am of the opinon that you should vote where you live. AS to the Katrina/Rita victims I do understand that if they are planning to move back to that area they would have a vested interest in voting there. If they are still somewhere 2 years later and do not forsee moving back they should register where they are living and become a true citizen of their community. Many people from foreign countries own land here, but they don't vote here. They are just landowners.

Why would someone working with the parish law enforcement not vote? Seems strange to me. It would be a stronger reason to vote to me. Those employees that knew they had to live in Concordia Parish to hold their jobs should be terminated. Sheriff do you plan to enforce your policy?
