Here were my rules as a Mom, they're grown & gone now but back then....No outside after dark, I'd say...Never let the dark catch you in the street. And believe it or not, it still works today and they're doing to their kids...Also, NO MTV, Supernatural Movies, and definently no killer movies. LOL I guess today, they'd have No TV. everytime I look at TV they've either got Murder, Demons flying every where, you just name it and you'll see it on TV. These Jokers need to get it together and get all this crap on Pay TV, then...LOL Only the fools will watch it and pay for it too...Amen My kids bedtime was at 8:00 PM sharp every night of the week because they needed the rest for school the next morning. Now, you show me a student that makes bad grades & sleeps in class or skips classes and I'll show you a person that has NO RULES!!! Parents today need to think! Oh yeah, and when you think they're picky & only want the best of everything!!!! Think again...It's because you did it to them by giving into their whinning!!! when you should have told them NO. And to go tell it to the 4 walls in their bedroom that you don't want to hear it!!! Mom's, your raising whinney babies & it's pure stupidity on your part. And I feel for you becasuse I've been there (4) times & with 3 step-children too. And guess what..."today we all love and respect eachother's needs, privacy, and most of all LOVE". God please shower out on Mom's and Familes everywhere in the world...Love, kindness, Peace, forgivness, and please Jesus, may they all remember to Pray, count to 10, take deep breaths...and do it all again tomorrow. Smile...God loves you. Look for him, ask...Amen

Dear Bulldog72...one day when you least expect it God will put the most Beautiful smile upon your face you'll feel like the Sunshine yourself....Amen....God will always provide freedom, love and your heart will forgive & forget the awful pain when you ask God to come into your heart & Soul forever and comfort you. Jesus is your comforter and He won't let you suffer if only you'll let Him. Close your eyes and Pray for your Healing and then go and walk in The Faith Of God that all things will be better and their is life out there for you and you'll find it....like I said, "when you least expect it". Ask and ye will recieve sayeth the Lord, knock and it shall be opened unto you. Pray & read the Bible and you WILL FIND YOUR SUNSHINE AND COOL BREEZES...that much I can Promise you. Amen...and joy unto you all And my prayers are for all...Dear God, just be there as you are.

What would make a child kill in such a manner as this; his own parents...were they abusing him? Dose anyone know the parents or the son?
Are the video games they play everyday "that bad". If they are, why for God's Sake dosent' someone take them off the market???
Personally, I think the Government is trying to prepare our kids to kill for wars in the future. I've heard, but never seen the video games myself, that some of them are unreal and if a child is more or less, raised on this stuff!!! Hello, are they desensifyed to all the killing. I know it's a shame for a son to murder his parents. I grew up there and I never wanted my family dead but we didn't have the tecnology these kids have today.
I feel so sorry for this young boy, what must he have been going through to do such a hannious crime. Was he even aware of his crime. I guess he was, it was planned within several days. Too bad the parrents didn't make him go to Church or take the whole family to church. Maybe they'd all be living if thay had. God works in mysterious ways...
God, please be with this young boy as the time unraveles. As the days turn into months, years, etc...His whole life will be behind bars and that's just another life taken. Our whole system needs to be changed but into what, "I don't know". God only knows our futures, each and every one of us will have to answer to Him one day. My prayers are with the rest of the family members. Where was his Grandparents????? What did the whole family practice on a daily basis??? Did they have love and contentment or rage and killing words to a kid???? What really led this young man to kill???? Will he get Medical Help???? He needs life-long help and counseling. I can't picture this kind of thing happening to a Christian Family?? Then again, no one ever knows the outcome of a day do we???

Any body remember Mr. Duck, Science Teacher from Vidalia
Jr. HIgh. He was so understanding and had intresting things to do. He seemed to like rocks a lot...LOL We used to kid him about his name with , "Quack, Quack"...LOL Those were the days only we didn't know it back then. The school song was..."over land, over sea, over Mr. Shovans knee...There's a Paddle awaiting for me"!!! LOL Silly kids
Ya'll just think, now there's guns, drugs, etc in school. Back then the only thing somebody did wrong was smoke cigarettes and Laugh out loud in class. God, I wish our kids could have been in our schools instead of theirs now a days. Tell them how it used to be ya'll.

Here's an idea..."Let the kids help choose"; and maybe they will not be so quick to trash it! They will actually love taking care of it because they'll feel like it's theirs. Let it be a big too-do, advertise about it in the paper, etc. Let them choose too. Also, maybe some of the kids can work there too and earn a little money. Teach them about the "The World Of Work", let them do the real cerious jobs like doing the books, etc. I hope so much that this can happen & just maybe... times will change...Amen. Try doing it through the schools & if that don't work the news paper.

My father already started his garden in Vidalia. He's got tomatoes, greens, cucumbers, okra, eggplants & a few more things he told me but I can't remember. "Buttercup"
being that you live on the coast, you'll have to do container garding or on top of the ground, with fresh dirt...gardening by the yard...ever watched that show. He builds the garden on top of the yard with landscaping tembers & fresh good dirt. There's nothing like fresh tomatoes...can't beat um!!

I live on the beach too, Panama City Beach, FL., and I can't garden either. I tried several times & only to fail or have a skimpy looking crop. (LOL) Miss that good ole Mississippi

I've been living here for 7 years & I love it but would rather be home...(there). My father is 81 fixing to be 82 on March 6
and he's still going strong...Amen. Good luck & good Gardening to All. "Get dirty & sweaty"...LOL I remember one year my son was 3 years old & Daddy told him that potatoes were french fries...Boy you should have seen him help Daddy dig thoes potatoes!!!! LOL You never seen a little kid move so fast. LOL He wanted them french fries!

It seems to me that if water is seeping up in ya'll yards, it could possibly just all cave off into the river & Natchez has about a mile & 1/2 cave carved out under the up-town part. It could also fall off into the river, it seems to me. Put it this way, I wouldn't want to live within 3 to 5 miles either side of the river on land. It is always changing it's course and they take the land back from forced towns; man made towns like in New Orleans; the river took it back, gulf,etc.
It's kinda scarry when you think about it. As always...praying
