Andy: We talked to Ronny Brown and Mike Mullins this morning. Brown then called us back to give us more info. He called us. We made the changes at his request. We make mistakes all the time and try to correct those we make. We want to get the facts correct as they are told to us. So when Brown called us with more info we corrected our story as soon as we got the information. If we are wrong we will correct it again.

PLEASE NOT CORRECTION ABOVE: Adams County Sheriff Brown now confirms that five shots were fired — three on State Street and two on Lincoln Street.

Ladybuggs: We are not protecting the police, but we are going to get the facts from both sides first before we let rumors get out of hand. Right now, only one part of the story is being told. Let us get both sides and you will be able to comment. If you would like to offer an opinion or some facts for a story please e-mail me at ben.hillyer@natchezdemocrat.com. Anybody else who witnessed a police chase downtown, please e-mail us. Thanks.

I realize that the police have released few details in this case and many readers want to know more. But, please do not make accusations about any of the parties that we can not substantiate.
It is fine to state your opinion about the situation, but please don't state things as fact if we can't corroborate it with the police or some other evidence.
