Don't anybody worry about the naysayers. The devil works through any vein he can find. The only problem he has is that no matter how big a way he finds to show up, God ALWAYS has a much bigger way to show out! So any of you who can't find the good about to happen through this event, just stay home and be miserable. You'll have no one to blame for your depression but yourself!

Let's see...A suspect, wanted for other crimes, brought in for questioning, flees the station, is accidentally grazed by an accidentally fired round while resisting subsequent arrest, the cop and the city are responsible for his embarrassment and unbearable suffering.

That's about right. Welcome to the United Socialist Republics of Obamica!!

The problem has not as much to do with where someone lives or what color skin they happen to have as it does with simple child-rearing. When a child, regardless of heritage or circumstance, is raised to believe that everyone on the face of the planet owes them a living, the prevailing attitude for the balance of their lives is one of entitlement and greed. My parents never owned vast expanses of land, huge homes or a large bank account. Yet they raised us to believe that we earn our way in this world. This problem won't be solved until we move from this socialistic style of government we seem to keep voting back into office each and every election cycle.

Just so everybody knows, MS has no attempted murder charge under state law. Makes about as much sense as putting running shoes on a rooster.

I think a more important issue is being missed. Kids today aren't raised to respect the rule of law. Granted, if an officer abuses his authority or steps out of line when dealing with the public, by all means punish them. And don't just shuffle them from one agency to another.

But I just have to ask, what grown, intelligent person would decide to attack the law in the first place? They have guns, tazers, sticks and dogs. What's more, they have radios with which to call more guys with guns, tazers, sticks and dogs! Just comply and deal with whatever of your rights are violated later, without the injuries you'd sustain fighting them!

Funny how all this seems to start when a bunch of folks decide to have some fun. But when did fun become automatically locked up with alcohol?

The only thing that will solve the problem is for the local governmental powers-that-be to change the single-provider status that CableOne has utilized for years to boost its profits in this market. Visit an area where they are forced to compete with other providers and you'll see my point. Their service is everything their advertisements say it is in these areas. But they have no need to live up to any promise here. Where you gonna go!

The quality of CableOne is nothing short of abysmal in any topic you care to discuss. The picture, sound and connectivity of Internet service is the worst I've ever witnessed. Aside from this, however, the most maddening thing to me is the response received when trying to discuss the matter with them. I think it's because the person on the other end, not from this area, really has no idea just how frustrated the customers are. They're accustomed to actually providing competence and good service and I don't think they know that we're calling from the service equivalent to the armpit of the universe. I even had some manager of a sort call me back one time. After apologizing to me profusely for a half hour she actually suggested to me that I visit my local council meeting and begin a drive to have some competition brought in! And against her own company!! So I believe that those in authority at CableOne, those not associated with whatever loser is responsible for this particular area, are capable of providing the best service. It's just time now to figure out just which elected official's pocket is being lined the heaviest and get something done about it politically!

There will probably be a more concerted effort to go after those who can't afford the deductibles. You can bet that this is in no way a proposition in which the hospital will lose a dime!

You want to know why people go out of town to see specialists? That's where they are! And why are they not here you ask? They're being run out of town by the medical establishment in Natchez. There have been several good specialists of various concentrations come to Natchez in the past several years but within just a couple of business cycles, they mysteriously leave. You want to know the real reason for their exodus, just do a little checking on who runs the facilities that are not directly connected with either hospital. It'll open your eyes.

And by the way, enticing county employees by eliminating their co-pays and deductibles WILL be paid for by the other patients, those who already can't afford the outrageous co-pays and deductibles required by their insurance companies. (Ever drive by the Blue Cross building in Jackson? Just look at it and then tell me that the insurance companies are in a financial bind!)

Booberry, you seem to forget an important aspect to the terrorism question; these "prisoners" were rounded up during combat. These are not common street thugs. They are not protected by Constitutional rights. Terrorism is an act of war. But if this little fact gets in the way of the bleeding hearts' delicate sympathies, the answer becomes even more clear: kill them instead of capturing them.

This whole issue of torture is being used by the president in a very untruthful manner to accomplish his goals of total control. In most of the cases, the threat of torture was enough to produce results. Now the Deliver's boneheaded decision to release all the details of what the US will NOT do has done nothing but add another week of training and orientation to the terrorist's academy, where they will be taught to simply hold out, as the Americans don't actually use full torture as a tool. As usual he has no earthly idea of the details involved. He obviously has not a clue as to the fighting spirit and habits of the terrorist. The bomb thrower believes in the concept of total war and would think nothing of taking your children prisoner and torturing them to get to you. I don't recall a single instance of an American interrogator capturing a combatant's family in order to obtain information.

As far as the torture of these low-lifes goes, I have one thought when discussing the use of electric shock. "Red is positive, Black is negative, and make sure the areas of connection are wet." They have attacked my homeland. I can vaguely remember a time when that alone would have aroused such a feeling of patriotic retribution the entire world would have cringed in fear. I weep for this nation!
