I think most people are missing the big picture here. This is the result of what has filtered down from what Natchez has failed to achieve due to organizations like the Historical (Hysterical) Society and the Garden Club. Organizations like these have way too much influence in Natchez. They are more concerned with keeping a superficial image than actually being what they boast they are. That is where Natchez suffers in comparison. Natchez has been left behind while Vidalia is moving ahead by leaps and bounds. The residents see this but the local government is in denial and that is what is truly sad.
I don't blame parents one bit for wanting the best for their children. Now if you could get Natchez to want the best for it's residents you might achieve something by kicking all of the rich "Blue Hairs" and History Nuts out of city affairs and get rid of all of the hoops and hurdles city government has to jump through on a daily basis. That would be the first step.

This makes my blood boil! Anyone that would do such a thing should have their a-- removed! Laziness, cruelty and stupidity is all it is and I hope the person that did this reads this article and it haunts them for the rest of their life. But that would require a conscience, something this person obviously doesn't have.

Yeah, I agree there are too many kids running around and the Bowie Festival should remain a family festival. Alcohol has no place here. Alcohol sales at an event like this attracts a certain element that should keep themselves in the confines of a bar or establishment not out in public.

Another thing they do also is a put a disposable camera in the cache and publish the pics to a website to show who have been there. I thought that was pretty cool.

I have a cousin that does this up in Springfield, MA and has a great time with it. If you do decide to get into this go ahead and buy a good quality GPS. There are a Lot of trees that can block the GPS from accessing the satellites. It would be nice to have included a website to find the coordinates of the caches in the area though.

I remember getting caught riding a 3-Wheeler on the mat fields that is now the river front. He scared the hell out of me and threatened to take it. He followed me all the way home (Whitehall Plantation) till I parked it but he didn't tell my folks. He got his point across and from that point on we always spoke when we saw each other. He was a great man. I had a lot of respect for him.

I saw I lot of crops such as corn and soybeans laid over flat in the fields just here in Concordia Parish. A friend of mine works at one of the local grain elevators and said they were working around the clock to help farmers to get what crops they could out of the fields before the storms hit. Late season crops will definitely suffer.
