What do you guys think the people at city hall can really do about crime in Natchez? NADA,,,ZIP...It is not up to the Mayor or the Board of Aldermen to control crime. That is strictly up to the Police and the Citizens that are making the crime. Crime is controlled by the Police...Plain and simple..Put more officers on the beats, get all these drug dealing criminals off the street and behind bars where they belong. City Hall should have IMO nothing to do with the matter of crime..That is why we have a police department. Crime isn't going to stop untill the people creating it are put behind bars.

It is good that they have officers there Vikingchick. I know first hand what goes on at the High School..I think they need to install Walk in metal Detectors and have a security guard monitor them at all times..Every Entrance and Exit. I hope that the Police Department and Sheriffs Department keep a watchful eye over the school..Because this isn't something to play with..Mr Brown is a tough cookie, but everyone needs some extra eyes and ears out there..

I would like to welcome you all to Litte New Orleans. Why Is it that Natchez has turned into the crime capital of the south?? Hummnn I Know why, an influx of idiots that have no home training and think they are a bunch of gangsta's..Seems to me that Natchez needs to be cleaned up.

What I don't understand is if the city can find $100,000 dollars to pay someone to design a recreation facility, why can't they find the funds to give the people that PROTECT and SERVE our City. Police officers and FIrefighters Protect and Serve our city. I know I feel safe knowing that the Police and Firefighters are on the job 24-7 waiting to respond when that alarm comes in or that phone rings. The city needs to give these men and women a raise. How can a person raise a family on $24,000 dollars a year?? Oh wait I know, work 2 and 3 jobs to make ends meet..Natchez wake up. These men and women risk there lives day in and day out to make sure that you and your children sleep safely at night. I wonder if I am the only person that feels this way?

Police investigators determined Davis was not intent on harming anyone. "Ok Then why did you shoot a gun at a house?" B.S. If you discharge a firearm because someone did something to you or your car and you hit there house what is your intent??? See my point here?

Because in my eyes the outcome of this could have been really bad if that bullet would have struck an innocent person inside that house. The article makes it seem like hey it is ok to shoot at someone if you are not aiming for them.

I am just a concerned citizen..These kind of incidents frighten me, because this could have been my house getting shot at. And my kid could have been on that football field or that playground..

Arson, plus attemted Murder...She needs to be locked up. It is a miracle that this man woke up. He could have been killed. What if one of the Firefighters would have been injured or killed trying to put out this trailer fire..Then what?? He should not have to press charges to get this lady arsonist locked up.
