My Mother said "if YOU have a child, YOU will raise it, NOT me." Being as she ALWAYS meant what she said, I took that as a promise and found it quite easy to not become pregnant until I was a married adult. Amazing concept but maybe parenting should start with ummm, parents. Just a thought.
