You people and your naive ways. You can rent all the underocean acreage you want to, but just b/c it falls into the 68 million zone doesn't mean it has oil beneath it. One more thing it's not the amount of oil that we "don't" have; it's the amount of refineries that we "don't" have.

I wouldn't say these kids were stupid, just undisciplined and no guidance. They did a stupid thing, but it doesn't mean that they are stupid. They should be punished due to the fact that they did do a stupid thing, BUT THAT'S THE WORLD WE LIVE IN TODAY; WANT TO BE "COOL" DO SOMETHING STUPID AND IT GETS PUT ON TV.

BULLDOG72 -- Do you really believe that he deserves: three squares a day for the rest of his life, to be judged by a jury "of his peers" (this animal has NO peers), to be air conditioned/heated for the rest of his life, to get an education, to watch TV, to enjoy the same warm sunshine or cool breeze that you and I do? His mom and dad (and his "supposed best friend") sure can't! HE GETS TO LIVE ON TAX PAYER MONEY FOR THE REST OF HIS NATURAL BORN LIFE AND YOU PEOPLE THINK IT'S OK, AN EYE FOR AN EYE, IF HE WANTS TO LIVE BY THE LAW OF THE JUNGLE THAT'S FINE, BUT HE NEEDS TO BE JUDGED BY THE LAW OF THE LAND (HOLY BIBLE). As for gambling being a disease (or alcohol or smoking, etc, etc....), it's an addiction! You weren't born with it and you didn't contract it. You brought it on yourself! NO DISEASE; DISEASES ARE TERMINAL. ADDICTIONS CAN ATLEAST BE CORRECTED. I think it is a MS Law that casinos have to be water based, i'm not sure though. Some one told me that is why so much trouble and so many resources were expended on one of the casinos in Vicksburg. I don't know which one it is, but the developers dug a side channel from the Mississippi and created a cove for this casino to "sit in;" surrounded by water.

Let's hope that the S.O. keeps up with continuing ed. classes on the subject and encourages these (and more) women to come and practice and become more efficient for the inevitable. You ladies are doing a great thing for yourselves, your families and you surrounding community, wherever that might be. Give yourselves a BIG OL' PAT ON THE BACK. FIRST, DEFINE WHAT A VACANT HOUSE IS; THEN CONSIDER TAXING EXTRA OR CHARGING PER MONTH THE LANDOWNER AN EXTRA FEE TO KEEP IT. THAT WOULD BE REVENUE, "FREE" REVENUE FOR THE CITY.
