In order for the state to repay the loan, which is what it basicly is, they will have to raise taxes. this is why Jindal has refused it for the state of LA. I beleive he did the right thing.

unfortunatly teachers are to busy teaching basic skills, like manners, how to use the bathroom (and I am not just talking pk or kindergarden), and right from wrong. You know the things that parents are supose to teach but dont in most cases. then try and squeeze in the actual lessons. not to mention, while i see were field trips can be educational, it is also to expencive.

I agree with proudamerican77. Some of the comments I have read make me sick. Most are more conserned about the search, which is legal due to the fact that the school is NOT a privet home BUT a STATE OWNED institution, then about these thugs selling drugs to your kids!!! Unbelievable. The only students that are more then likely truely upset and feel "violated" have something to hide. Or the parents do.
