For all of you with the racist comments:
Yes, there are millions of people out there who voted for our AFRICAN AMERICAN president strictly because of his race. Can you really blame them? For a BLACK man to come this close, after all that the AFRICAN AMERICAN race has endured, has given a lot of "first time voters" hope. That hope is that no matter what obstacles you are faced with, that with perseverance, anything is obtainable. This man never said vote for me because I am BLACK (his WHITE mother didn't raise him that way). Yes, many people gained interest in the campaign because OBAMA was running, but that interest caused them to look deeper into the issues. It was his stance on the issues that make him attractive to many REPUBLICAN voters as well.
This campaign has focused too much on OBAMA's race, religion, and background. All of the negative campaign tactics to sway voters actually turned a lot of people on to OBAMA. Voters were able to relate to him. He still lives on Chicago's south-side, his single mother died of cancer (with no healthcare), he graduated HARVARD with a ton of student loans, but most importantly, he did not let anything hinder him from pursuing his goals...
....And he did it!!!!!!!

Gas is $1.61 here in my part of Houston, TX. It's been below $2 city-wide for over a month now. I filled my tank with less than $20! Prices are only temporary, yet people are rushing to buy the big SUVs again...I just don't get it.
