This is a great cause, and very worthwhile. If the animals have to be stuck in a rathole like Natchez, they should be made comfortable and treated well. This is probably the most worthwhile cause in Natchez, and everyone should contribute.

Natchez needs a fire chief? And they HAVE a batallion chief??? I didn't think Natchez had enough firemen to make up a batallion. How many people in each batallion, 2?

No, beachwhale, actually you don't hear talk like that at any job you go to. Maybe in Natchez you do, but in other parts of the country, there are good decent people working in hospitals.

It was sick...some of the nurses and the women at the desk, and Dr. Wheelis were ridiculing patients behind their backs and snickering because they were "ugly," or "fat". They were like elementary kids. The funny thing is, I don't know if you've seen some of the people that work there, but I don't think it's fair to say they'll be starring in America's Next Top Model anytime soon. To think that you come to a place for emergency care, and the staff who has a moral and professional obligation to help you, makes fun of the way you look on the outside. So shallow and sick.

He's still there because the reputation of a large number of people employeed at that hospital (notice I did not say ALL people...there are a few good people there) is well known, and no one else would want to work in the middle of a bunch of unprofessional gossipers like that. They don't want their reputations ruined by being part of that disgusting bunch at Community.

I did my EMT hospital training at Community with Dr. Wheelis. He acted like a disgusting pig, as did the nurses who worked in there and the techs at the desk. All they did was talk about who was screwing who's husband and what married cop they were fooling arounds with. Dr. Wheelis was totally unprofessional. I can't even go into a few of the things they did, because it's too vulgar, but they treated their patients like lab rats. After doing three shifts in that ER, I'd rather die than be taken there. I've never seen a Doctor and nurses be so blatantly disrespectful to their patients. I still makes me sick to this day.
