Every now and then I read all of the wisdom posted by my beloved friends neighbors in Natchez.
I hope this unemployment estimate of 10% is close to correct. Why, because I just read an article on WND.com that states it is Really 22%. Ouch!

For what it's worth, the article referenced to by Gemcull from 2006 speaks volumes about this board of ours. We can always change our mind but it's the heart we can't get around Prov.4:23.

I usually don't post much but, maybe one of you can clear this up. Also I don't intend to offend anyone by this. It is just "food for thought."
I had a close friend that fought in Korea and he says "I am a Mexican (Hispanic)." He looked like a Mexican, spoke Spanish and his Father and Mother were immigrants from Mexico.
He was also a devout American Patriot and Marine. He once told me that, "I am an American of Mexican decent, not a Mexican/American." He said he takes offense to this terminology.
Now we have a President that is referred to as an "African/American," and he is ½ white. When will our Black friends finally be satisfied and proud to be Americans of African decent? I hope that someday Americans of African decent will decide to just be called Americans and identify which country they belong to, Especially the President of the United States of America.
When I ask someone who a Japanese person is, they don't always refer to themselves as a "Japanese /American."
I'm really a "heinz 57" variety. Part Indian, English and ? Am I a Heinz 57 American? No, I am an American. Hopefully our new President can change this mindset once and for all.

I somewhat agree with CtheOtherSide,
The hotel and the Vue are first class, and the food and atmosphere are some if not the best in Natchez. There is nothing wrong with having some excellence in dining, besides fried pickles and fast food.
Let's hope the hotel and restaurant do make it, so we won't have another empty shell of a business, advertising the mis- management and poverty of the 49th poorest, and number one un-healthiest state in the country. We all have different opinions and experiences about Gambling Houses or "Boats."
Let me also apologize if I offended the fried pickle eaters, I's a do like em too when their hot. Really, lighten up a little people. Your gonna get through it.
