Geeze some of you people never cease to amaze me with your idiotic comments - they caught a murderer off the streets and the first comment is "way to get your picture in the paper...." - geeze just shut up and go to bed.

I have been reading all of these comments regarding the sheriffs running for office, and I guess it should not suprise me the number of people that are belittling the importance of a great education. Most of you guys could use a little education yourself. I wish I had a dime for all of the spelling and grammar errors. Someone with a great education probably would make Natchez a little better because it sure seems to be lacking around there!

Was definately an awful thing to do but it would not surprise me if it was someone of his own color that did it - they call each other that as much or MORE than white people do. After all it was in LaGrange that it happened.

So what is Cliff Cox is "cold and arrogant" do you really want someone who is all "warm and fuzzy" being the sheriff?? Just because someone comes across as arrogant does not mean they are that way - I come across as arrogant to lots of people when I first meet them but after they get to know me they realize I am not that way - I am just a very focused person and it sometimes comes across as arrogance. Maybe this is the case - he is just very focused on his job - seems you want someone who may be a bit cold/tough and stays focused on the task they have to do.

You are right - it is not slander if it is TRUE but a lot of what is being said about him on here is not FACTS.

Cross - surely you are being sarcastic with your comment because it sounds like you are minimizing this crime - this kid deserves every negative comment and yes he did make a mistake but he deserves to spend the rest of his life behind bars!!!!!!!!

justmyopinion - the problem is the majority people do not vote on qualifications and experience - that was proven in the presidential race and again on a local level there in Natchez
