For one thing the supervisors should NOT have county vehicles and free gas. The city officials should not either. Regular citizens have to drive their own cars to work, so should they. John Q, are you serious?? hydrogen powered cars are decades away. Hybrids are expensive and the batteries have a 70k life cycle. I think that the city and county should as of today stop all free gas to elected officials. It won't happen because they are greedy and really do not give a darn about you and I. The will raise taxes to cover it, book it!

What the Children need is Parents! The government cannot buy that. Libs think that we can throw money at problems in society and they will go away. No, they don't go away but it makes the Liberal heart feel better because they spent a lot of taxpayer money. Stop making babies out of wedlock. Stay home and raise them. Instead of watching TV help them with their homework. Instead of drinking and smoking pot in front of them talk to them about God and right and wrong. Its that simple Oldschool. Building parks for them is stupid and wasteful. Now, lets go forward with the St. Catherine project!

we have a do nothing congress. Blame Bush if you will, it is congress that has sat on its hands for 4 years and has offered no energy bills. Answar should be opened, it would have NO effect on the enviroment just as drilling here has had no effect on our wildlife. China and Cuba are drilling 74 miles off of the coast of Miami right now and we are not allowed too. The entire eastern and western seaboards are off limits to drilling, again beyond stupid. Nuclear energy is the way to go for clean electricity. France now has its entire country run off of nuclear power plants, we should too. The only thing holding us back is the moonbat enviro-wacko's and their democratic congressman.

Just want to let the citizens of Natchez know that the E.R. has an excellent staff now in spite of layoffs. My father had a heart attack last week and they saved his life. I was impressed with the Doctor and Nursing staffs professional handling of my Dads crisis. They got him stabilized and were on the phone with his doctors in Jackson, then transferred him to Jackson. His cardiologist at St. Dominick's said the meds. he got in Natchez probably saved his life. They could not have performed better! Thank you Natchez Regional E.R..

Come on now, a small town needs a Barney, a Goober and a Gomer just for the entertainment value. Just 3 on the payroll would not bust the bank.

He does not understand erosion. Damning the creek would stop the erosion, as the water pressure on the banks would hold the soil as if thousands of pounds of pressure were on them. Mere boat waves would have little effect except on the land above. I applaud the efforts of our leaders who are working to bring this project to reality.

On Can creek plan be bad idea?
