I'd be pissed too if I were that lady! Her family has been living on that land for over 100 years! And now someone can just come in there and TAKE it away from them????

I don't know about Mississippi Laws,,,,,But Louisiana Police have roadblocks all the time checking for invalid drivers license and NO insurance!
Frankly I think it should be done in every state so some of those idiots that think they won't ever get caught driving with no license or insurance can be stopped BEFORE they are involved in a wreck!
Over here in Louisiana,,,,,not having insurance will get your car impounded and it isn't returned to the owner until they can show proof of valid insurance!
Wishing you all a speedy recovery! It really bothered me that this woman didn't have any more care for her child than to be driving without insurance,,,,At least for his sake if not for her own or an innocent bystander!

I was wondering the same thing lookingout! It was still daylight at 5:20pm,,,,,so the people in the first car that was hit would have been able to tell the police what kind of vehicle it was that hit them from behind and maybe they also could see what the people were doing!
My heart aches for all the families involved! Not a very good start for their New Year! :(

Jamie has been with VPD for close to 2 years! He's alright and can handle Ben just fine!
It wouldn't be a good idea for anyone to get too close to Jamie or his patrol car when Ben is inside it! He's even aggressive to the other officers in the department! But he's supposed to be a one man dog! Not a pet!
Just doing the job he was trained for!

It probably means that one of them don't want the other one to be selling drugs on his corner or in "his" neighbothood!

I thought I was seeing things when I went outside to my car and discovered that it was covered with sleet!
What a pleasant surprise!
Then there were two beautiful rainbows for us to enjoy to boot! One complete rainbow that was very bright and colorful,,,,,the other more faint but definately there! I took a picture with my cellphone but it didn't come out very good!
Now that's the way to start a December off the right way! Something nice for a change!

This happened at between 3:00AM - 4:00AM in the morning! Not the afternoon like it is reported here! Get it right Democrat people!
Also,,,,,they failed to mention that the idiot who hit the propane tank, also left his vehicle parked in the middle of the road on Mooselodge after it was moved away from the tank and the Sheriff's office had to have it towed because the guy was nowhere to be found to get him to move it!
What a huge inconvinience it was for all those people to have to be uprooted from their homes and beds at that time of the morning! I saw a lot of very unhappy people! Can't say I blame any of them!

That's ashame! Just when things are looking better in Ferriday,,,,,along comes a blow like this!

Now would be a good time for some of the school coaches to get their teams to help with cleaning up Ferriday! Surely some of their weekends are free now that football is over with!
Maybe some of the teachers could get permission slips signed by the parents and take a class or two downtown on a few weekends and help with whatever needs cleaned up or painted! Make it a field trip of sorts and give them a grade for it in return for their efforts!
Just a thought!
