Why are these people walking on the hwy in the dark with dark clothing...sounds like a death wish. This brings me to the people riding power chairs around town I have almost hit the red headed woman twice near and around Main st out in traffic . As well as the black man with no legs on the s curve on Liberty rd near Exxon.Come on people realize you are putting your selves in jeopardy take note of these horrible tragedies and stay out of the road ways.

Old Grand dad don't forget the windows on the institute building that have been left to peel down to bare wood ....for years.... The houses on the hill on Canal St......for years.....No roof on the Ritz .....for years....Demolition by Neglect! Do as I say not as I do! Watch out folks they will be coming after your home next...............If they see any value in it. Now for all you guys with worthless properties around town sit back and relax they don't want your holdings.
It seems to me Dr V only needs to board up the widows and cut the grass to get them off his back. Of course if they want to pay for the restoration, since there is so much concern let them and the problem will be solved.

As much as I love the Delta Queen, she was a stinky, old wooden fire trap, running with silver fish and other critters. Her retirement in Chattanooga was inevitable. She is however still a usefull hotel and restaurant, only needing a new owner to keep her open for business. The American Queen and Mississippi Queen (where I served) can still be used as excursion boats (MQ needs a whole lot more work) when economy gets better and investors are once again interested. The Grande Solie boat was a relic from the days when casinos had to sail, so it had an engine until someone sold it last year ( another unexplained GS mess). Laws changed, boats became stationary and many are as you said just barges made to look like riverboats as in Natchez (Hysterical society demanded it). New law state a percentage of casino must be over water(as seen at River walk in V'sburg) The whole casino law system is as twisted as people can dream up. For instance in Tunica they would dig a hole and float a boat in the middle of a cotton field to be within the boundaries of the law.

The Hudson statement refers to casino riverboats...of which there will still be for years to come. There probably wont be a lot of new ones. Just because Ms. changed its laws doesn't mean all states will. There are still plenty of excursion boats on the river and still will be for years to come.Visit New Orleans , St Louis, Louisville and many small towns in Mn. if you want to see steamboats and ride them.

All will come out in the wash. The Indians are getting their proverbial "Indians in a Row".It is true that one casino probably draws mainly on the locals and a few tourist, but two or three casinos would make Natchez a gamblers destination. Thank God Butch has four laned the rest of the ways into Natchez. Our bridge is part of the key ....opens up 1/3 of La to us as a gambling market.Employment is not the only benefit to a casino. The more tax base the more city and county jobs could be saved or reinstated. Casinos provide their own security.Taz girl Natchez already is a little New Orleans like it or not . It always has been, the difference is we still have small town charm and appeal. Don't let your "rental properties" sit vacant because your afraid the "tenants" are going to tear them up......

It seems to me that if back taxes are owed, banks are owed, and Contractors are owed.....Hasn't someone put a lean against all assets the casino holds. This place has been operating....pretending to be a casino for several years. There's no way they made payroll off of the income from the rooms and restaurant and bar. It takes casino income to support an operation like this. There is still a stench in the air coming from that side of town......and it's not IP cranking up again. I've been saying it on here for several years there needs to be an investigation. Where is the Indians money,Heads need to roll on this one or other scammers will setting up shop thinking Natchez is a easy place to rip folks off. Does anyone care? If they didn't pay thier taxes each and every citizen has been stolen from in Natchez!
I still think the Indians need to come down lay claim and open a reservation style casino on the bluff. Who's to say that some of the Natchez Indians didn't migrate up to Lac du Flambeau and assimilate? I think that an Indian reservation would be a welcome endeavor for Natchez. The taxes collected would be the greatest asset to Natchez........

How in the world can they make him get rid of a car stored on his private property when it can't even be seen from the street. He needs to file trespassing charges on the idiots trying to take his land. They are trampling his civil rights....... Watch out ND readers you will be next!
