Crakalakin, would you be offended if many thousands of people (including on TV) loudly exclaimed your mother's name everytime they hit their thumb with a hammer?
Concerning --> "All are actually pleas to God."
We both know that is incorrect. HOW the name is used means EVERYTHING.
Concerning --> "Christians don't own the name of Jesus and us non-Christians will use his name any way we please"
I think this statement explains your position perfectly. There was no need to try and twist truth with your previous statements.

fraidoclowns, you wouldn't try and change this discussion into something racial, would you?

daBosslady, sorry but there IS something wrong with young ladies being taught that its ok to dance in parades like this. And this was being done in the 80's. Now we have children doing it that are 2nd generation. No wonder some folks think its ok. And you are wrong that all we should do is "support" whatever the children have been taught to do. I'd like to support them by saying the folks that teach and/or allow them to dance like this should be fired and/or arrested.

The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.

natcheznurse, the local schools had the girls dancing like that 20 years ago. It is nothing new. And I've never understood how the schools get away with teaching them to do that. I'm in total agreement with you - the performance reeks of strong sexual overtones and absolutely no class.

dogman, your posting is an excellent example of what the Democrat Editorial Board was talking about when they asked folks to cast an "educated vote". As long as newspapers have been in existence they have given their endorsements to the political candidates of their choice. Your school should have taught you that. Once you are well educated you will be able to understand what real changes are needed.

Continental_Line, if you wish to have an intelligent exchange of ideas with me then I'll expect you to discontinue taking liberties with my name.
steve_o, for a while there really was a waterfall below the visitor center. A water leak caused a stream to run along the tracks and then into the gully where it dropped off in a nice falls. It carved a nice little canyon over the last 2 years. I believe it was recently capped off. But with a few blasts of shot-crete it could have become a permanent fixture.

NatchezBooster, I heard the same thing about EDA. I figure they are walking the Appalachian Trail with Jake and that's why no answer on the phone.
I've come to have ZERO confidence in the City for tourism improvements. Its gonna take strong pushes from NDDA, EDA, the Chamber, the Convention and Visitors Bureau and any other organization or individual that will be able to exert some influence. We can't wait on the "city" anymore. They don't have a clue as to what we need to accomodate tourists in our downtown shopping area.
The suggestion for using restrooms at the Convention center is an obvious one. That problem would be solved with their official designation as such. But then we'd need the signs pointing to them. Signs, as mentioned before, ALL "tourist towns" have. Where are ours?

steve_o, hopefully Natchez and Vidalia will create the bridge walkway so that we are connected for pedestrian and bicycle traffic. That is one thing that truly would be a tourist draw. Bridge walkways in other states are popular. And this would connect our trails with the Vidalia riverfront.

fraidoclowns, It's two completely differrent subjects. You bring race into it and it becomes a magnet for all the racists to post 100 stupid remarks. Meanwhile, the subject of how the name of Jesus is used gets completely lost. I can see how that would appeal to someone that is afraid of an honest exchange of ideas. I would hope that wouldn't be yourself.
On Cussing with Jesus hurtful, offensive
