Ya know the presidential election is now only 4 years away.
Just produce a ballot with "anti-american" on it and maybe ACORN can get early voting started in Ohio and Florida by this weekend.
Our founding fathers would throw up at the scam now called "the democratic election process".

Buy you a place and go in business and you will see just how socialistic Natchez already is.
Theres far too much government in our private lives now.

After they ban smoking, whats next? The chewers & spitters tomorrow, then the obese then handicapped and finally the elderly. These are all "health" issues.
Be careful what you support.
Many smokers are elderly and have few other pleasures. Leave 'em alone.

The city is just easing on toward Beau Pre' which is their primary objective.
Big tax money out there. They can hire more friends and relatives, give 'em cars and credit cars to ride around and advise folks of the "rules you must live by" to be a resident.
On Natchez leaders vote to annex two pieces of county property

Natchez is NOT business friendly with their commissions, boards, etc. not to mention "USE TAX". Thats the fee you pay annually for the privilege of owning equipment you already worked hard to pay for.
I'm surprised they haven't closed BBB down for not having 45 handicap parking places at the front door.
One business owner i know bought the very expensive land then was told where he would put his building on it. As he said, if he had to do it again "it would be in Vidalia".

"Free water for a month" , woweee.
In the words of Sir Charles Barkley, an Auburn attendee,
"poor people have been voting for Democrats for 50 years.........and they are still poor".

Chick Graning hit on a point that no one else has ever done, that I recall.
"Fix the public School System and prosperity will follow".
I certainly agree with that one and hope he can do something with what many of us refer to as "our Public Day Care Centers" since little educating seems to take place requiring ones seeking a real education to pay for private schooling.
Chick is level headed, educated, and a mature business man, I think he can do it. He's at least willing to try.
I'm not a bumper sticker person but the one I saw on an out of town vehicle last week, "DON'T RE-ELECT ANYONE" has stuck with me.

Right on SayItRight. Let me say again, and for the last time, "if the confederate flag raises the ire of African Americans by reminding them of slavery, what do they want a "Forks of the Road" for??????????
Mr. Seshab Heter did remove his sign "Natchez MS Supports the Jena 6" from his headquarters on Providence Road last week. Wonder why?

Surely our city engineer will traverse the creek northward into rural Adams County and stop the sewage being dumped into this creek before any "weirs" are built. They are numerous along with private trash dumps. Water quality of St. Catherine is very poor, especially during summer when coliform counts are extremely high.
An example of this project could be theSecond Creek Watershed Project of 40 years ago. Numerous dams (weirs) across small creeks throughout the county to "prevent erosion". Go look at them now. They are silted in shallow, muddy, litter laden, cesspools.
St. Catherine Creek is private land and loess soil. It will not handle a raised water lever well and with many of our current population seeking "early retirement" through the court system, just let a bank cave off on anyone or tree come down near anyone for that matter and watch the lawyers smile.
A very bad idea to pursue this project. Perhaps our city engineer needs "educating".

Yeah, lets band dat smoking.
Then lets ban baldheadedness, starting with all media. No more bald heads giving us "eye pollution" when opening newspapers or on tv.
Lets make this world perfect for those perfect few who can't handle the imperfect rest of us.
Nuff said...........
On Smoking ordinance truly a no-brainer
