lowrider, HAHAHA I LOVE IT!!!! And it is the hoopskirt mafia or petticoat mafia! Although I have seen a few who made theirs from hoola hoops.

We do need a large parking garage downtown it is the only way to solve the parking problem aside from everyone getting flying hovercrafts that we can park on the buildings which is even more unlikely to happen.

Good job Ms. McCune! Great job to all of the students! You have worked hard for your goals and you have achieved them and will continue to achieve all of your goals with your wonderful work ethic.
Also, congratulations to the parents! They have worked hard making sure their kids made it to and from rehearsals and devote numerous hours to the fundraising that helps support the choir trips for their children to go out and shine.
Way to go all of you!!

I will always remember Dr. Killelea at the Natchez Opera Festival. A cast member forgot his black socks to wear with his tuxedo and Dr. Killelea pulled off his shoes and offered him his. He apologized for the hole in the sock! It was a priceless moment I will always treasure. My deepest condolences go out to his family. Our thoughts are with you Patty!

My prayers go out to her family, friends, fellow students and teachers. No one should ever lose a child but know she is safe in God's hands now.

First of all, we need to take into consideration what she wants and what she thinks this county needs. That is not for any of us to decide for her. Second, coining an old phrase: "behind every great man is a great woman." In The Angie's case she was not behind him she was beside him. She, of all people knew more about what her husband thought and felt for for this county than anyone else. it takes a strong woman to have a husband in law enforcement or the military and I feel certain she is a strong woman. In the meantime, we have a good working and cooperative department now, so let them do their jobs. The entire department lost a family member when they lost Ronny, give them and Angie a little time to figure out what path to take. They will do what is best for this county.

As far as law enforcement qualifications, business management skills, know the law, have great aim, and COMMON SENSE.

My husband and I were coming back from Vidalia right after it happened. One of the side rails is practically flattened from where the crane hit it. West bound traffic was backed up past Dairy Queen and their were cops from both sides everywhere!! It is a royal mess but law enforcement was right on it.

I watched one of those meetings once and was thrilled I was not at the meeting and could change the channel. Oh if only the remote control worked on people!!!

I am a product of the NASD of fourteen years ago when corporal punishment was still allowed in the classrooms by teachers and administrators. We, like our parents and generations before them had the fear instilled in us that we would get a spanking from our teachers and as soon as we got home another from our parents.

Since all form of discipline is gone and when students are at their worst they send them home to play with their xbox or hang out on the street where they would prefer to be, it is not surprising that this disciplinary system DOES NOT WORK! It is not just in the public schools it is in the private schools and at home.

If a parent threatens a child with a spanking these days all the child has to do is threaten that they will call DHS and the parents give in. The system went from protecting children from abuse to protecting them from any form of discipline at all. Sometimes it just takes one "Come to Jesus" meeting to straighten a child up.

As for the NASD educational programs they offered Advanced study courses, foreign languages, and Vocational technical classes before any other private school in this area. I have a nephew who attends private school for his classes and the Vo-Tech in the afternoon for his automotive classes just as his father did before him.

I was there when the schools integrated in 1989 and half of my public school classmates were placed in private schools because their parents were scared. My classmates didn't even understand why their parents relocated them.

I kept up with former classmates in private school and discovered I was getting a better education than they were. When it came time for college I had no problems adapting, but many of the private schoolers did.

The state and federal government need to allow parents to be parents and teachers some discipline besides time out and detention, those do not get a child's attention and certainly not their respect.

I know the latest fashion is baggy britches hanging off the backside but in order to stuff medical supplies down his pants and not lose them on the way out, would he have to tight roll his pants legs like we did in the 80s? That would definitely be a tell tale sign that something was wrong. This is just too funny.
