When I read your story, tears welled up in my eyes. No matter the outcome of the game, keep up this spirit of togetherness. God Bless each one of you, and God please bless the Brown family. Amen.

I don't know who I will vote for sheriff, I know of at least three or four of the candidates that I won't even consider.

Yet, I completely agree with Concerned Natchez Citizen....you are right, we need the type of man leading our county that will keep even his momma in line....God Bless Us All.....

I agree juju, I took my daughters to the event. They loved it, from beginning to end.....they loved it so much until they've worn me down about joining the Natchez Ballet group.....We thought the entire production was AWESOME !!!

WOW ! Even in 2009, it's evident that race and racial issues play a large siginifant role in politics.

Yes it's true, the confederate flag is something to consider. The Sheriff's department will have to "FAIRLY" interact with all races...not just white...

So I plan to attend the event, I plan to ask important questions that AFFECT all Adams County Residents.

We should all this, 'cause Lord knows....I am Praying for a Change everyday. God Bless !!!!!

RAY RAY He's our Man, he can do it, Yes HE can !!!!!!! I am not familiar with all of the men running for the position of Adams County Sheriff, but I can say Ray is the one who gets the vote from everyone in my family. I hope that the residents of Adams County will too mark their vote for the best choice and candidate, Mr. Ray Brown.

Good Morning fellow Natchezians,
I am not always blogging the articles of the Natchez Democrat as some of the others do, but when a subject hits me and I have a comment....here it goes, and I hope and Pray the Reporters of the paper read this comment, Too!

I get really disappointed constantly reading about the negative sides of Natchez, when there are some good things that happen here too. FOR EXAMPLE, four days ago something special happened here...It was not only magnificent, but it was Manificat!!!! A story was being told through the art of Ballet, and my daughters enjoyed it completely as I did too.

You see ND, my oldest child now has the weekly task of reading news articles that do not pertain to KILLING, SHOOTING, DYING OR SPORTS and give her take on the article. My disappointment grew when we could find No Positive articles on this Ballet event. It was being sponsored to help Catholic Charities here in Natchez, but lets put the club shooting out front instead.

I would love to become a liasion between the residents of Natchez and the ND, to help you become an asset to our community instead of a gossip column.

I have a fear of living in a big city because of larger amounts of crime and the probability of my kids getting raped, kidnapped or killed. Well, it seems to me that the ND, ACSO, & NPD should be working together to help end some of the bad that's growing and bring back the goodness I knew as a child here in my hometown of Natchez, Mississippi.

Shame, shame on those that dwell on the bad, I am just one person interested in improving our city, and I am certain I am not the only one....today think of just one thing we can do to improve our city and email it to someone....The Mayor, our city or county officials, TELL SOMEONE WHO ALSO CARES ABOUT NATCHEZ !!!! I hope once my kids graduate from college, they have something to offer to our area and our area will have something to offer to them!!!

Congrats, Mr. Braxton~we have never met, but I had the pleasure of being a student in your wife's class many, many years ago. If you are half as sweet as she is, then you are a great person. I am sure you will be missed, yet proud of all of the young lives and old that you helped influence and touch. God Bless you and Mrs. B. Take Care and enjoy some porch time.....
