About the only time I have to deal with anyone in the local government is to pay my car tag. The ladies behind the counter are always nice and very helpful. It makes it a lot easier to write that check for several hundred dollars every year.

You make it sound like competition is bad for business. Nothing could be farther from the truth. You make it seem like we are the only city in the world with more than one hospital. We aren't.
There were problems, indeed.
1. Law suits drove a lot of good doctors from this area.
2. One hospital was run by local government.

Gardner said the city placed a moratorium on speed bumps and humps in 2008 because the pre-existing ones were poorly done and hurting vehicles and people.
Maybe because people were going too fast over them? Once a speed bump rips parts out from under your car, you start to slow down when you see one. The speed bumps work better after you get a pile of mufflers on the shoulder of the road beside them. The pile of mufflers also help keep people from driving through our yards to go around the speed bumps.

You have got to be kidding me.
1. It's his property. He can do whatever he wants with it.
2. You can't get past a gate to serve a summons? If he is a doctor, why not go to his place of business and serve it there.
3. You have a bunch of houses here that need to be bulldozed down. Or, better yet. Let the fire departments around here use them for classes. They can set them on fire and practice putting them out. Light them up. Burn them down. Get rid of these eye sores. It's a disgrace. It makes our city look really bad.
