How can you praise Mathis for doing a great job? Please list what she’s done since she’s taken office, I’d like to see it. She’s not accomplished anything in her ward and city except let our streets and sidewalks crumble even further.
Have you ever been to any of the council meetings to see how she obstructs the proceedings with her ego and bad-temper? I have – and she’s an embarrassment. She’s acts like she’s tough and like she knows what she’s doing. But she’s really pretty dense – she HAS to be dense to say, as she has, that our school system is in good shape.
She rarely if ever returns phone calls from her constituents. And she’s let our poor policemen and firemen still get ridiculously low salaries. The only salaries she DID vote to raise were for her and her fellow alterpersons. So who is she looking out for?

As I dont' always get a chance to read paper every day, I just found out about this - but too late. Why wasn't it in the Tracings today, on the day of the event? Why is this so badly publicized? I know several people who would've gone to this who didn't know about it as it also wasn't put in the Democrat on the day of the event or in Bluffs and Bayous for this month. Who's the publicist for this event?
