Im not saying he's lazy and yea he does seem very intelligent but if he was the same person with the same background but a different race then people would say he isnt qualified. Anyways to what MSviaTN said, how can he hold those people to a higher standard? Im just curious. Until we quit giving people welfare and handouts they are not gonna change by my opinion. What could he do to make them change?

I have to disagree with u Teach4peace. Yea, they preach about hard work but if u honestly sit down and think about it, where did all the money come from? He went to a community college in California then when he finished he took a trip and went all over the world. After that he started Harvard Law. Do you know how much Harvard Law cost? Seems like to me he has had everything given to him and Im not even gonna start on how he got his 1.7 million dollar home in Chicago.

I agree with babev1! its about time to let the slave issue go. Lincoln freed the slaves over 70 years ago so let it go! Another thing is the racial issue should be gone! If anyone is racist then the percentage of blacks that voted for Obama is proof that blacks are just as racist as any other race. There was a survey done with Obama voters and the reporter quoted McCains Policies and said they were Obamas and the people of Harlem agreed not knowing that they were agreeing with what McCain campaign was all about. This is proof that blacks only voted for Obama bc he was black. There has been a guilt put on white people because of slavery and now since Obama is president it should be taken off of us. It isnt our fault that people chose to have 3 kids and drop out of school and not do anything with their lives. So now when someone is sitting at their house drawing welfare and complaining that "the man" is holding them back, remember now that the man is black and u have no excuse!!!!

I've been working offshore ever since I graduated in 2001 and finding work hasnt been hard at all. It seemed like if anyone had a little bit of experience then there was a job waiting on them but now oil companies are cutting jobs left and right. The thing that surprises me is that ever since the hurricanes came through most of the gulf has shut down production due to damage. Its been 4 months since we were producing so how is it that the gas prices are falling? It would seem that with production down in the Gulf it would cause an increase at the pumps. I believe its because we can buy it cheaper from foreign countrys than what US companies are selling it for. I may be wrong but when gas prices were 3.50 a gallon here in the US, the average gallon of gas overseas cost no more than a dollar. Can anyone explain this to me?
