It is a shame that Dr. Vaughn has allowed this to happen. His mother was a sweet lady and his sister deserved to inherit that house. She lived there with her mother and they tried to take care of their beautiful family home the best they could. I just hope it can be saved.

Lambchop, I agree with what you said except for the part where just because someone has chosen to better their living conditions or arrangements by leaving what used to be a good place to live (Natchez), they don't have the right to say anything negative. I too have chosen to flee the area. Initially because I married someone from somewhere else but have since seen how lucky I am to have gotten out while the getting was good. I lived in Ntz. most of my life and have family still there so I too have the right to voice negativity towards the area. My family has been in Ntz longer than most and I do care what happens. Not that it makes a hill of beans because it seems that Ntz will never be restored to the place that I was raised and used to be proud of.

I was thinking along the same lines natchez1 but when I read your post it made me laugh out loud sitting here by myself. Thanks for the laugh.

It's a shame that people don't value life. This gentleman should have been enjoying his golden years for many more to come. Natchez has become somewhat of a disappointment to me in recent years. I wish the family & friends that I still have there could leave for their own safety. I guess I was one of the lucky ones that was given an opportunity elsewhere. I pray that something turns this all around and soon.

Why would there be a rivalry between Trinity & Vidalia? I've been gone a few years but it's the first I've heard of this bad blood. If it is students, the best thing for them is to have to work at what we used to call the Stewpot or someplace where they can see what it would be like to have to struggle when they don't get their education from being kicked out of school for such a senseless act.

unclered;
You must not be from the area. It's been a problem in Ntz for many years just as it has nationwide. My name and social were purged with another RB causing me to have to vote affidavit and not even know if my vote counted on a couple of occasions. Had an id been required in the first place this never would have happened.

Congratulations Ricky!!! I can think of no one more deserving.
And Jody; I hope things get better with your injury and good luck.
I also hope all the false judgements about people that are posted on this website don't come back and bite people in the butt. What's wrong with being less judgemental every now & then?

RU4GOD; Ricky Stevens is someone that has been in law enforcement since Jody was just a chap. He is very capable of doing a great job. Jody is also capable of doing a great job. I don't live in Ntz. any more but have family and friends that do and am very thankful for the officers from ACSO & NPD for dilligently doing their "Thankless Job".

It's not necessarily the judges. That's why people take their chances with a jury. Most people that are chosen either don't agree with the death penalty or know someone in jail that they feel has been wrongly put in prison.
