vidalia1,,,,,Jarrett's coach in HS was his daddy,,,Johnny Lee and also Coach Faircloth. Johnny Lee started taking both of his boys, Josh and Jarrett to the ballfields before they could even walk and as you can see,,,,,they fell in love with baseball and football! Johnny Lee still coaches at VHS to this day!
I know he and Pam are on cloud 9 right now with Jarrett making it to a major league team!

I'm very proud for Jarrett and wish him the very best!
Way to go young man!

Thats just a damned shame that the city of Natchez can't afford to give very deserving Police officers and Firefighters the raises they were promised! If anyone deserves that raise,,,,,they certainly do!

This infuriates me because even though Natchez has been in dire straits for many months,,,,,It sure didn't stop the Aldermen from asking for and getting their raises awhile back now did it???
How can they afford raises for Aldermen and not for first responders?

Ya'lls priorities are all screwed up! Thats just wrong on so many levels!

I give blood every 12 weeks WITHOUT fail! Thats how important I think it is to donate blood! Been giving blood since I was 17 and I'm still kickin',,,,,I think I'm up to the 5 gallon donation mark now on the Bloodmobiles computer!

I know it's more than that but they haven't always kept up with the amount someone gives until the last 10 years or so!

I wear my "I donated blood today" t-shirts with pride! And I still drink my coffee out of that "3 gallons of blood" coffee mug they gave me! Ha,,,,,

Give blood folks! They filter and screen that stuff so many times now days that it is verrrrrrrrrrrry rare to catch anything through a blood transfusion!

This is 2009,,,,,NOT 1990!

Not a single agency in Vidalia was notified of this potential disaster! Did you jerks in Natchez think this would stay contained across the river???

Thanks for the heads up Natchez!!!!! We owe ya'll one!!!!

I agree Gustave! Especially since the old existing sign was already there waiting to be used! Why waste a perfectly good older sign pole when Bad Boys could save that much money and just use what was already there??? It makes sense to me to use what pre-existed as a sign BEFORE Jody bought that building!

Maybe if the city had that much of a problem with the old sign,,,,,then why didn't they have someone go to the lot and take down that "oversized" sign and pole that bothered them so much before the building was sold,,,,,so someone else wouldn't use it again???

Leave these businesses alone Natchez officials! People can't find jobs now that pay squat and Jody has made a lucrative thriving business out of Bad Boys that benefits a lot of families here!
Not to mention all the taxes he has to pay to the City for that business!

Find something else more important to gripe about and leave the working fellows alone!

Peace out!

"waffles over dogs" is that served with syrup, jam, jelly, butter, grits, hash browns, orange juice, coffee, etc??"
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

LOL gemccull,,,,,Personally I like LOTS & LOTS of butter on my waffles with some maple syrup and a side order of artery clogging bacon! :) :)

I thought the same thing about the word "waffle" when I read this article! But it is what it is!

Funny!

I read that too steve-o! BUT,,,,,Why is Walmart just forking out $270,000 if they don't know what they're forking it out for???

So legally,,,,Ferriday is crapped out of luck if Walmart decides they don't want to pay that money anymore!

The last article did say that Gene Allen and Derrick Carson had a copy of the "contract"! So someone somewhere has to have a legal document or Ferriday wouldn't be getting "FREE" money from one of the biggest retailers out there! They didn't make their Billions by giving it all away!

Someone is full of doo!!!

I agree krogers! I see those "fly-by-night" peddlers all over the place and they sell nothing but JUNK! Pure JUNK!!!
Then when the buyer gets it home and they find it to be defective and try to return it,,,,,The "fly-by-night" peddlers are gone!!
Money wasted that could have been spent in a local store!

Has anyone else noticed all the trucks here lately parked at different places that are selling PUPPIES???
Where did they get all those puppies? Are they stolen? Do they possibly come here from "puppy mills" out of state to sell their damaged and disease infested pups to unsuspecting people?
I have seen them selling puppies in Natchez,,,,Vidalia,,,,Ferriday, and the surrounding area's! But I have never seen them being harrassed to stop selling the pups, and that's a living breathing creature that is sitting in a HOT truck all day long waiting for some bleeding heart to come along and rescue it!!!

My point is that honest hard-working folks that are trying to make a buck by selling FOOD are being picked on but yet the people selling ANIMALS on the side of the road are being allowed to do so!!!

What's wrong with this picture people???

The tax money the city of Natchez makes on just the Casino alone would have been enough to pay for anything over the budget,,,,,Including all the mess recently from bad weather!

A city the size of Natchez shouldn't be having any financial problems not with the gazillion hotels/motels/bed & breakfasts etc etc etc that pay enormous taxes!

Too many hands in the till that don't know how to manage money very well!
