I have read all of the comments and it looks like if the commentators could vote on the U.S. Constitution today then the first amendment would be abolished. The press has a duty to report the news and the news is several school students and former school students made bad decisions. If I were these bad decision makers and was looking for adult approval on my bad decision making then I would not have to look any further than these blogs. acedog committed 6 lines of text and over 5 lines are blasting the paper for reporting and eleven words admitting someone made a mistake and should be punished. That is not a mistake that is a crime. The mistake was thinking you could take someone else’s property free of charge. acedogs was just an example of other comments made by other folks. It appears the only punishment some of these folks want issued is against the paper. I believe the Natchez Democrat has done a great job in reporting the news.

Let me see, I'm from out of state and at 2:30 A.M I am walking down a street with a screw driver and flash light without a reasonable excuse. That sure sounds like probable cause to me. My buddy by the way is creeping down another area trolling for our next victim. What would you expect the police to do when they discover this type of activity at this time of the night with all of the burglary that has occurred prior to this time? Personally I believe the NPD did a fine job.

On Burglary case sent to grand jury, men still in jail

I didn't see the post where they live but I believe I remember where he/she had family in Wilkinson County that voted and this is what I said, "Have someone in your family participate by being a poll watcher on Election Day or go to the court house when the voting is being done and see how it is conducted. You can possibly have more positive influence than you may believe you do." Yes I did say you in the last sentence and I meant a legal voting resident of Wilkinson Count. I apologize for not making that clearer. All the people in Wilkinson County want is to know when the election totals have been counted is it has been done with as much integrity and honesty as possible. By encouraging more voters to participate in the election process the harder it would be for anyone to high jack the election and have just a few un-scrupulous people running a dictatorship.

I believe Judge Persons is taking a stand for the disenfranchised voters by having a do-over election and having someone oversee it since obviously King Mon can not be trusted. lovelyday, where did you get that phone banks were set up and this was preplanned, the committee had no way of knowing the outcome until the votes were counted which by the way was done in secret as for as the machines go. Not once has Mon Cree down loaded the machines in the publics eye, it is always done out of site. If this had been such an honest election why was all of the majority of the committee members denied their duty to participate in the election process and why is it that the machine votes are down loaded in secrecy and why were the majority committee members denied access to the boxes?
bear45 please do not give up on the elections in Wilkinson County just yet, stay in there and help continue to fight this corruption by voting. Have someone in your family participate by being a poll watcher on Election Day or go to the court house when the voting is being done and see how it is conducted. You can possibly have more positive influence than you may believe you do.

How do you know that it was over 500 black voters? There were no white voters’ absentee ballots thrown out? I believe the reason the 17 committee members never looked at the ballots was because the Circuit Clerk and Easter would not allow them to examine them therefore they all were suspect. The integrity of these ballots could not be established by the majority of the committee members because Mon Cree and Circuit Clerk employees refused to allow any examination of any of the ballots. The job of the committee members is to represent the voters to ensure the integrity of the elections but Master Mon decided he was the dictator and Wilkinson County is not part of a democracy. The committee members did the right thing regardless how long this stays in court or how much it cost.

Who said it was a Not-Profit Organization?

On Entergy may up rates to pay for plant

Posted on February 29 at 11:10 a.m.

Entergy is not a non-profit organization. Entergy produces approximately 20% of their power from Nuclear. According to all stats that I have read in the past Nuclear is the cheapest way to produce electricity when competing against Natural gas and Coal. If I understand the fuel adjustment it is based on the type of fuel being used. If the nuclear power plant is down for maintenance or other reasons then you should see the adjustment go up if what I said above is accurate. In Mississippi the Public Service Commission controls the rate you pay not the Utility.

I am for the rate hike. One way or another you are going to pay for the plant now or later. Now would be less expensive. As for as investment you are invested as long as you buy electricity. Natural gas prices have increased and will continue to increase and coal is getting pressure from the "Green" folks. Until something else is invented what are your choices?

That is really not good news unless the Feds or outside folks run this election because the will of the people will still not prevail. The democratic election committee is still in disarray, thanks to the state democratic executive committee, and the members that ran the last one is the reason this election went the way that it did. They had poll workers that were involved over 10 years ago in the exact same schemes, which were instructed by law not to be involved in election processes. Poll workers had you sign the poll book in pencil instead of ink and when challenged they would insist you use a pencil. My guess is so it could be altered if needed. Anyone can challenge a persons vote and by law it has to be considered and determined by the poll workers if it is valid or not. At one precinct when 5 voters votes were challenged the poll workers would simply say "frivolous" without even allowing the person to state what the challenge was. I've seen statements about the mess in Wilkinson County but believe me it is more than just Wilkinson County it is in several counties and all being orchestrated by the State level Democratic election committee. The state needs to pray that this mess in Wilkinson County is straightened out and help shake out some of the bad apples in the state level.

On Judge calls new election

Posted on February 21 at 3:45 p.m.

By the Judge throwing out the paper ballots I believe he is saying he agrees with the election committee's decision to throw them out because of the lost integrity of the paper ballots. I think the crooks now want to throw out the entire election so it can be done again because as it stands now they are out and redoing the election would give them an opportunity to cheat thier way in again the same way Hollins did a few years ago.
