I hope it $175 to $250 per TEAM, not per PLAYER. That would REALLY be expensive.

Tigermom, he/she has no intentions or desire to go to the pageant. He/She only wants to gripe and bash the Dem. He/She does that on just about every article in the Dem, every day. Must be sad to have nothing better to do.

How ridiculous some of you people are. READ THE ARTICLE. It said an elderly woman received minor burns and one person may have broken a rib trying to escape the fire. Now.... What is so hard to understand? So many of you saying "OH...I hope noone was hurt. OH.... why dont the ND tell us some details. Why dont you people pay attention to what you are reading, while you are reading it, instead of thinking about what comments you are going to post after you finish. If you have family living in that area, and you are SOOO concerned about them, try picking up the phone and calling them instead of bashing the Democrat.

I agree with you Lambchop. Instead of sitting around all hours of the night, go to the NPD and get in a cruiser with an officer and go on patrol with him. We will watch to see if the crime rate drops 50% the next day. If everyone were as smart as these people posting these criticisms, this would be a perfect world. I think some of them be allowed to be chief for a week.

Every time I read comments from morons like this ntzmom, I am so glad I left Natchez. I really loved Natchez when I was there (22 yrs), but the longer I am away, the more I realize how far behind MOST of the people in that town are. People like ntzmom, who have nothing better to do than to be posting their negative comments on every article in the ND at 2:30 AM!?!?! How miserable it must be to have nothing better to do at 2am. Instead of hiding behind the computer, get out there at 2 am and HELP the NPD find these criminals and investigate these "incidents". If you think crime is bad in Natchez, come to Jackson for a couple days. You have no idea what a crime problem is. Throughout time, people have killed people, people have stolen from each other, etc. This will go on as long as mankind exists. What makes you think the NPD is powerful enough to stop it. Get a life and do something constructive instead of negatively commenting on EVERY article in the ND.

Trust me folks, I currently coach a select girls softball team and have for the last 5 yrs. The entry fees in slow pitch tournaments are $175 PER TEAM!!! And are 1 day tournaments until you get to state, regional, or national tournaments. The Angels played in a tournament that my team played in 2 wks ago in Meridian, MS. The entry fee was $175 PER TEAM. Fast pitch entry fees are $250 and are usually 2 day tournaments. Travel softball is extremely expensive, but it is not the tournament entry fees that hurt so bad. Its the gas, food, hotel, etc.
