$800 billion stimulus divided by 300 million people equals $2666.67 per person, but since it's not distributed at a flat rate, that's not really accurate, but neither is $5000 per person.

Our nation needs to get back to the basics of what it was founded on. We ARE a Christian nation. You CAN'T have God without Christ since they are one (the trinity or triune GOD is three-in-one) Father, Son (Christ) & Holy Spirit.
To look at our history and say America was seen as a place to worship whoever & however you wanted is simply not true. America was seen as a place where God, (not Allah or Buddah or Confucious) could be worshipped. It was freedom to worship God.
Let's not forget that worshipping God was not the only reason people came from England to America. Taxes, low prosperity and government control along with many other social issues were a concern to those that made a perilous, sometimes deadly, journey across the Atlantic Ocean to the North American Continent.
The "global" Universal Church ideas is engulfing our culture. To think that it doesn't matter which "figure" you worship since they're all God is ignorant of God's word.
So notfromnatchez, don't try to leave Christ out of the founding father's ideals, just because it doesn't say "Christ". They understood who the only "God" was!
You might sign your holiday cards, "Merry X-mas", but only Christ could die on a cross for your sins & mine, defeat death & hell and give you a choice to trust in Him to save your soul. That is what "God's" word is ALL about.
I pray you come to that understanding before it's too late, because Christ will return and if you read the book of Revelations in the Bible, you'll know you definitely don't want to be left behind here for a horrifying "tribulation" period.
