The fact of the matter is that as law enforcement officers, they can never make all of the people happy all of the time. Stop someone for speeding, they whine or complain. Tell someone their music is too loud they wait until you are out of earshot to turn it back up. People make things up,
People do not stop to think of the sacrifices these men and women make to do their jobs. Being a police officer is a thankless job. They are extremely under paid, put the general public before themselves and their families, and work long hours in conditions that would send you looking for shelter.
Billy's officers have just in the last month solved a shooting in under 12 hours, and caught a burglar (who managed to evade Ferriday PD and CPSO) in less than 6. Useless police officers, I think not.
The bottom line is that 2 actual years law enforcement (not corrections or a having a commission card in your wallet) is not enough to run a police department. And I for one do not want Randy Maxwell politics any more entrenched in Vidalia than it already is.
